When I first started playing about 7-8 years ago, his name was "Trailborn", as in "born on the trail/road/traveling". It got changed a few years ago; while I sent in several bug reports over the span of a few years about the potential typo, it was never changed. That's what leads me to believe the name was changed for some copyright reason.

I just going to second whatever Sassychassis said.
I, too, remember Trailborn having the name as described. In fact... if I hadn't read this thread and Calaeria's & Sassychassis' posts, I would not even have known that they changed Trailborn's name =(. It's been a long time since I've spoken to that thingummywut of a wizard, but yes, his name was Trailborn, with an "L".

On another note, I realize the above is a rather small thing to post about... Lol.
But still, if YOU knew the truth through witness & experience, and then someone else said that they were "100% sure" that the truth was not what it was, wouldn't you say something as a witness to what once was?

Now for something actually related to the topic of this thread...
Nice =), but depressed =( - simultaneously.
It is nice to see improvements being made to older quests (especially where it was mentioned that more insight/lore/history will be given). At the same time, it is depressing to realize that what was once done is now lost. I'll miss Rune Mysteries, and especially its simplicity. Regardless, thanks for trying to make Runescape better, staff of JaGEx*

LOL redo elder kiln? They're not doing these quests revisions to give u the plesure of dooing your favorite quests over. They're doing it to make the old quests on par with the new ones like elder kiln. Why wud they rework elderkiln its not even a year old yet.? tThe graphic and story is already on par.
Quests like dorics were overly simple and had little story or interest in it. the new quests fix that! I remember the rnunecrafting quest being a bit silly as all u do is run a parcel accross half of RS. The player never really discovered runecrafting he was a mail delivery service. I'm sure runecrafting could be discovered without him/her. This new quest, however, seems more involved. I'm ready to delve deeper into what ever mysteries are going on in the wizards tower.
