No one seems to be writing their opinions about the BETA. I'm not sure if this is the right spot for it. If it isn't, please forgive me.
Here it goes...
Thoughts on Runescape EoC BETA - Part 1
1. The action bar is so close to where i stand, i cant click next to myself easily, i keep clicking the action bar. This is disastrous in battle.
2. Teleport spells are SOOOOO annoying to access. Having to scroll down a massive list. can't they be smaller so you can see more at once without having to scroll? (Like the prayer list does.) The magic list in normal Runescape is a much better layout I think. As a skiller, I use these teleports constantly, but not enough to put on an action bar (because there are so many different teleports). This BETA teleport setup makes it very annoying to access them. =(
3. When I'm running, it kind of looks like my neck is thrust forward (female character), like I'm hunched. It looks a bit weird. This is how it usually is in normal RS though, so this is a personal preference thing.
4. LOVING the hover over descriptions of weapons and food. So useful.
5. Now... Can we talk bank space... Because I am maxed out as it is with quest and levelling gear. I REALLY hope that there will be more bank room for wands and second-hand equipment, or a room in a player house to store quest items. Because otherwise it's just ridiculous to expect a hoarder like me to have any room left for ACTUAL fighting gear.
*Point '5' is the most important in my list

6. When I jumped into BETA (near GE), it took 3-4 minutes to get a HP jump (from my normal RS HP). I started fighting a lvl 60 'gnome woman' in tree gnome village (usually lvl 1) and she kicked my ass. I only had a 'mindspike' attached, but as a lvl 168, I think I should have been able to beat her.
This brings up the VERY IMPORTANT ISSUE OF:
Easy to kill low-level enemies
I do hope that not all enemies will be 'scaled according to my combat level'. There are some places where I want to be able to 'accidently click on an enemy' and be able to quickly kill it in order for me to be able to move on, and keep skilling (like farming tree patches at the Grand tree).
7. LOVED the 'item trader NPCs' in front of Lumbridge Castle. There was finally somewhere in game for me to look at, and buy, all the important/main armour. I know there is the skilling guide, but that doesn't really help players examine stats or buy them. I know that for AAAAages I had NO idea what armour to buy. Mainly because I'm a skiller, I'm not around the fighting equipment all the time, which makes it a very big hurdle to transition to fighting. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to fight if I knew what to buy, but there was never anywhere for me to go to buy stuff.I understand that this is a test run, but I would FALL IN LOVE with the new beta if the line of 'item trader NPCs' at Lumbridge castle were to permanently move to near the GE (even if they didn't sell items, but just listed them). Then there would finally be a place to get an overview of what armour is the best to buy at what level. And I wouldn't be too overwhelmed to 'get into' fighting.

Thoughts on Runescape EoC BETA - Part 3
8. As 'Des**us' has stated on pg 140 of the Combat BETA forums (Quick find code: 294-295-24-63825448):
'I don't like how you have to press the "enter" key before you talk, you might want to have a look onto that. Lucky for me, I used to play WoW so it's easy for me to get used to it, but I have a few buddies who are really opposed to this idea. Perhaps you could revert this back?'
I agree with this statement wholeheartedly.
9. I would love to be able to have the option of playing either Runescape OR the new EoC version (so that they are both available to play at any time, like Runescape classic is available to players with a classic account). I would hate to log into the new EoC version to do quests, as killing enemies takes far too much time. I log into Runescape to have fun, but I only have a limited amount of time.
10. I like the new combat system for PvP. Now you won't die in one lucky hit. Bravo.
