No. Unlike the RSC to RS2 jump, xp rates are staying pretty much the same. The actual game isn't changing, just the way it looks. Therefore, you won't have to start over

This looks great! The only thing however, is that the crew of folks who work on Runescape need to do something about leechers. They have become a serious problem. almost always there are boatloads of people standing above the starting room. games would be so much more interesting if those people actually participated. Other than that the new Castle Wars looks great!
This probably wouldn't be a problem if the trimmed comp cape requirement of 5k castle wars games wasn't there...
