I thought that, Runescape being an MMO, everyone shares the same world? It's all connected, right? Why do they have the big idea of having one player's game be different than another's? Continuity and lore wise, if I become the Alpha Supreme Galactic God of All in my game, and another player killed every god...who's timeline is right? It's gonna get all convoluted.
As far as interactions with NPCs and certain things go, sure, make that based off individual choice, but every single player as whole should contribute to the big things that actually impact the game...not have every player have their own version of what happens. If I wanted to feel like I was the only important person, I'd go play Skyrim...but that's not the case. Runescape, as an MMO, every player should be important and one's continuity should not differ from another's.
Save yourself.
Savior self.
