Because the 200 mil reward will be permanent, it'll probably have the "unobtainable" rarity, just like the lucky divine, just like the 10 mil, just like the AGS, claws, god wars armor and the like. Because the divine could have been won since the release of the SoF, according to Jagex, it was always a good time to buy spins.
200 million accounts? If I were to take a wild guess, I'd say 10% of those accounts were actual players. You're celebrating something that should be frowned upon. The sad truth is that if Jagex were to hire ONE mod 8 hours a day 5 days a week to go through the worlds banning botters at popular botting spots such as red chins and god wars, you'd have a ban list of thousands in a month.
Get your act together, Jagex.

O_o You really never know what to expect from Jagex. The company who sold out and breaks their own "rules". One bad update after another. The money must be coming in for the Squeel wheel, but thats just short term thinking because clearly the community is enraged. Short term investment, long term failure. I for one will not be a member anymore, already have canceled membership on my 2 members. Not to mention the garbage update crucible where you get owned by people 30+ levels higher, and this new combat calculator wtf?
P.S. Are you worried about "2006scape" stealing your active players? AWWW GF you ruined everything since 2006 been a down hill spiral, with all this "celebration" RWTscape stuff.

What the F***. Before this, I never liked buyable spins, never bought any, never really spoke up much, and thought people calling this the "Squeal of RWT" or something like that were over-exaggerating. Now its blatantly true. I can *almost* understand making it an ultra-rare weekend choice. BUT PERMANENT!?!? I'm throwing in my lot with the RWT ranters now, because now they are 100% correct.

You know what this update reminds me of? Those gold selling bots that PM you all the freaking time.
First off, obviously, you can buy gold from them. It's a chance either way, because I get the feeling a lot of those gold selling sites just jack your credit card info and you don't know what you're going to win on the Wheel of RWT.
Second, they're annoying as hell. That stupid little goblin that's right in your face every time you log in is just as annoying as the stream of bots telling you to go to their website. Those spin tickets that RuneScape constantly shoves in your face? More bot PM's.
Third, Jagex doesn't care. Remember the days when reporting people did something? Remember the days when Jagex didn't support RWT? Those days are gone. Both the gold selling sites and Jagex are just money-hungry entities, trying to siphon cash out of those of us who play RuneScape.
I have never spun the Squeal of RWT and I never will, no matter how desperate Jagex gets. You know, this "Grab the Gold" update is ironic...
It's not the players who are trying to "grab the gold."
It's Jagex.
