I have been anticipating this quest for more than 3 years! I'm so pumped to see it's so close to be released!
I want to see Temple Knight Acolyte armour as a reward, Jagex!!!
Hail Saradomin!!!

you obviously missed the part where they said the rewards are cosmetic armors and black knight rank armors. Technically this quest replaces the quest that got your name in front of the temple knights to begin with so only new rank would be to let us into the white knights. which of course screws up the entire end of the 5th age timeline.

To quote Mod Stu:

"how can a quest set in the Sixth Age be a requirement for quests set in the Fifth?"

As Atervius noted, "The Death of Chivalry" will not be required for any existing quests. It's set in the 6th age (by necessity due to Saradomin's direct involvement).

Existing content that uses the Black Knights' Fortress will be updated to operate independently of this quest with minimal alterations.

Considering how long it's been in the game, there are surprisingly few references to the "Black Knights' Fortress" quest. It was generally a catalyst for other stories, such as "Recruitment Drive", which'll become the start of the Temple Knight series.

I've been determined from the outset to honour and respect "Black Knights' Fortress". The last few months has been a labour of love.

I hope you'll think of "The Death of Chivalry" as a spiritual successor, much like the Ozan quests reworked "Desert Ali Rescue", and the Ariane quests reworked "Rune Mysteries" and the Wizards' Tower.

But yeah, this could be used for the purpose of adding a new rank to the Temple Knights, but given that it's a F2P quest, that won't happen.

It's true you get a lot of players defeating quest enemies really easily, but not very often do you have people having serious difficulty with quest fights - excluding the really high level quest bosses.

Instead of 'scaling' combat to the level and making training completely redundant, it'd make more sense to simply make quest fights more challenging.
