This will kill tools! You buy one once, stick it in your toolbox, it's protected, isn't it? So, everyone just needs one, and when you're done with that, you won't buy again. And thus, the price of these tools just went in the garbage.
But, if anyone has his own P.O.V. please share it. I really wanna listen to it.

I don't know why people keep saying the protected tools will lower the price of the current tools as if people PvP or PvM with dragon pickaxes or hatchets.People don't really lose their tools now and the prices are still stable enough. The sudden amount of tools exiting the game permanently from this update because of the belt will probably increase the prices not lower it.

I agree with this.

People don't often lose their tools, and prices will probably see a small increase before they fall/stabilize due to people who rarely ever use a hatchet/pickaxe wanting to have a complete tool belt just to get it out of the way.

I like this update but I would also like to see the following changes (as many others have listed).

- Ability to add Magic Secateurs
- Ability to add Magic Watering Can
- Ability to add newer Machetes
- Allowing Gilded Pickaxes to be added (subsequently allowing normal dragon pickaxes to be gilded "after" its addition to the belt).

As far as the Inferno Adze being added. I don't think it would be wise to add as it functions as BOTH a pickaxe & hatchet with a log burning ability, it should stay as a wield-able item. Otherwise when you go to cut a tree will you be prompted each time .. "Do you want to use your dragon hatchet or your adze"? .. that to me (of course again my personal opinion) would be more of a pain in the rear. Every time you to go mine an ore .. the same question?..

IF it is decided that an Adze is something they (Jagex+users "hah&quot ;) want added It should take the place of BOTH spots and not allow you to add a separate hatchet and pickaxe.

Also people asking about what would happen if you return to F2P to your dragon tool belt items, I would assume if it's done correctly that when you are in F2P your items would revert to the highest F2P version of that item (NOT Permanently just for your time in F2P). Just like if you "don't" have the level to use it in the first place it goes to the item level that you can use.

Jagex, please address weather or not guilded pic/inferno adze will be addable

if not i do not support this, i took the time to get both those items so please let me use them in my tool belt, not to watch them just become useless like my tackle box...

How is the tackle box useless, Its a huge extension to your backpack size when fishing. It may not be awesome, but still.

Ps: I like the update, even though it eases the game I believe this time is for the better ! But like other people noted, i'm not sure either if this deserves a bts. I mean, it seems like the type of small upgrade that should be done along with usual bts updates, not be it.

because who actually takes the time to bank fish? it used to expand your backpack and the taking fish out of it for pvming was a really useful ability due to brews being worthless since eoc, granted, bunyip special scroll should have consumed the same amount of adrenaline as eating cooked fish, but now tackle box is terrible and pointless for the amount of time it took to get (prof or champ)

, i just think that without the ability to put in the adze/guilded pic, they will not be doing this the right way. i dont want to have to remove my guild just to add my d pic to my tool belt!

There is no Space to put adze, they are looking into guilded. and for banking Fish, this could only come from a maxxed player!

I banked all my monks/rocktail all the way to 99. then I stopped Fishing. I soo dislike the skill. But it made a bundle for me. And fyi there are plenty of players that still use Food in combat in case you missed that!

The biggest gripe for me about how the toolbelt works is what it does to spades. Yep, it's handy not to have to have an inventory space taken by a spade when I'm Farming, but the convenience completely goes out the window when I'm digging for a Clue Scroll location plotted by map or sextant for Treasure Trails. Treasure Trails require me to carry 2 spades, as it were--the 1 stuck on my toolbelt, and the one which still retains its "Dig" command in my inventory. If we could add a "Dig" command to the toolbelt spade or to the toolbelt interface itself (or even drag "Dig" via the toolbelt spade to the Action Bar) that would be much more useful.

Otherwise, I've loved the toolbelt since Day One of its introduction. It just needs to preserve the utility of spades rather than reduce them while saving my pack space simultaneously.

Sounds like a good update to me, but actually it doesn't "sound" good at all because I can't watch the video!

I am living in a very rural area atm and am only able to access the internet through satellite and if you've ever used satellite internet, you know just how painfully slow it can be. It is almost impossible to play RS and completely impossible to load a video. In 180p it takes about 10 minutes to load a 1 minute video (If it loads at all).

For this reason I don't enjoy the BTS videos one bit. I feel like i'm being left out on vital information and as a merchant this really effects me! Please stick to the written posts or go through the trouble to add a TLDW version of the video in writing so that people without access to video content can remain informed. Thanks!

This update sounds good from what i've been reading in this forum! :p
