Looking forward to seeing these creations in game.

I really like the Malice idea from Texaera. Monster pops out of vase and attacks. Has 3 faces which switch around. I love it!

Mod Crow:We received a ton of amazing entries that have really gone well beyond what we could ever have hoped for. In the end we had to narrow it down to designs we knew we could make fit within the context of the quest. After several long sessions of reviews, arguments, physical violence and name calling we finally reached a consensus over the designs which will be added to RuneScape.

The success of this competition is why you guys need to make more player-content competitions for the future. It was very exciting on DeviantART to see your inbox full of entries. I have some ideas of things you could do:

A Pet Competition: Pets aren't as popular as they could be. By having some kind of competition revolving around them, Jagex can get an idea of what players really want from their pets. For example, have a god pet design competition, and have them as a reward from future world events or god emissaries. The godless need a pet mascot too!

Graphical Update Competition: Allow players to suggest/ create updated versions of existing NPCs, buildings, monsters or items. Graphical updates happen all the time, this is a great way to get player insight into what they could want.

Congratulations to all of the winners! It was a lot of fun to see all the entries! What I am REALLY looking forward to is future competitions like these! I hope Jagex is planning something!

Side note: When I saw the character model for Ikadia, she kind of resembled an evil Xenia..then I read the design description that Xenia is her enemy haha. This should make the quest even more interesting. Quest Cape Skill Requirements

Wow, my jaw literally dropped when I saw the concept art these players came up with. Absolutely amazing!! Cannot wait to see these creatures in game, particularly that rather bad ass Chaos Giant thing.

I absolutely love The Malice as well (the 3 faced Slenderman creature thing). With the new ability to zoom the camera right in, I think it would be amazing to have a boss or monster in game that was constantly "changing faces" as you fought it. Really cool idea!

I agree, it would make more sense if this quest introduced Dragon war hammers. Dwarves are mainly portrayed with either large axes or war hammers in many games and movies. We already have Dragon battleaxes, so that spot is filled.

When Gimli refers to his axe, I don't think he's talking about throwing mini axes.

As for the design winners, the art for the chaos druid is very detailed though the Chaos Giant doesn't really strike me as menacing. Congrats and we should have more player implemented content added to this game.

I really enjoyed all of the winners/runner-uppers, they're all scary and a perfect match for the theme.

I was really impressed with Ikadia's art, it is incredible.
The Chaos Giant looks like something I'd find in slayer tower, it really reminds me of older RS models and gave me a sense of nostalgia.
The other two were just creepy which was perfect for the theme and I enjoyed picturing them in my mind as real creatures.

Creepy good.
