Sounds awesome! One thing I am hoping for is some f2p god armor. There is f2p rune saradomin, guthix, and zamorak armor. Is it possible we might see some type of armor for the other gods as well such as armadyl, bandos, zaros, sliske, etc?

You are the reason the game has an age limit of 13 and older.
It's just a date.

The EOC made me quit, the release of RS 2007 brought me back, and now the pathetic efforts of Jagex are too much for me to stay even playing that. I refuse to give another dollar to a company that attempts to make players stay by faking a release of the third generation of their game.

Then quit. We don't need you in our community.

Lol someone had to say it.

So why cant we all play the HTML5 beta you said we all could at one point before release now its like 13 days away what gives. Is the problem that so many wont be able to play HTML5 with their pc that you have to advise them to play on the java client. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of hyping up RS3 and then saying oh well you cant play use java.

I was wondering will your EOC account go in rs3 or will it be all new reset just like(the rs07) ???

Oh, if only there was an answer to that... Oh wait. They've said multiple times in multiple places that you keep all your stats and stuff.

Maybe I should go out buy a fancy phone or a game console or a tablet then maybe I can play RS3 with HTML5. That's what RS3 was made for right mobile devices game consoles and not with pc gamers in mind. Kind of a bait and switch make EOC then RS3 and get people excited but don't tell them in the first place that the game engine its using isn't readily supported by many things except mobile devices and game consoles and a very small number of browsers. Oh but that's ok you say everyone can still use java. lol

I've already posted back on pg 42 but I guess I'll post again since some people may not read all the posts.

First of all, F2P or P2P?
Both! HTML5 RS3 is only a platform for the delivery of the content, the actual content itself, like quests, locations and items, are F2P or P2P just like they are now. Nothing changes in that respect.

Second, using Chrome as browser.
IE 8,9 or 10 with Java - You can play RS3
Firefox with Java - you can play RS3
Any other browser with java - you can play RS3
Chrome - You can play RS3 but due to it's support of HTML5 it'll look better

HTML5 is a web development technology that covers a lot of different aspects. Chrome merely supports those aspects that are required for the HTML5 version of RS3 better than the other browsers. At some point all the browsers will be able to play RS3 without Java but that is dependent on the actual browser developer, be it Microsoft, Mozilla or any other one, actually making their browser use the features of HTML5. You can't blame Jagex for wanting to take advantage of the latest web development language in order to be able to develop their business.

If you don't like Chrome you can use another browser, you just have to use a java client just like you do now and you won't get the better graphics and functionality but you will get the actual RS game. For those that hate the development of RS3, you have a choice. Quit**** is a game, not a life choice. There are many other games to play, many other things you can do besides play this game. I use Chrome, I look forward to RS3 and I'm a P2P player however if Jagex ever brought something the game that I didn't like, I'd simply stop playing. I don't have to play this game. I don't have to pay to play it. I don't have to use Chrome. But I do all these things as it's my choice.

If you get so upset over it, they why don't you just quit? What is so essential for you to keep playing and for Jagex to keep things stagnant so that you get it the way you want?

+ From their FAQ:

10. Will the HTML5 client be completely finished for the launch of RuneScape 3?

...The HTML5 client will be stabilised with performance improvements for the launch of RuneScape 3 but we're going to keep it tagged as a BETA for the coming months as ongoing optimisations are made...

So, according to your statement Jkcpr and their own FAQ, it would seem that RS3 will not be ready at the deadline as advertised.

My theory is that jagex is attempting to outsource their Quality Assurance Department upon the customers who actually pay to play - they're hoping you will do their work for them and, at the same time actually pay them so you can do their work.

Volunteering is one thing but, actually having to pay to do it is another thing, however, it's your money and it's your time.

At best there appears to be some sort of shadowy deception about this release, in my view, it is unacceptable to outsource the job of Quality Assurance upon the customer - I do not work for free.

I'm here to play a game; I'm not here to work - if the quality of this game continues to decline, well...only time will tell...
