I currently subscribe via boku. Do I need to cancel my boku subscription and proceed via debit card for this armour? Or can I purchase it straight off with my card and my previous phone subscription will get auto cancelled?

I plan on getting this package soon, so a reply from someone who knows what's what would be nice :-P

Someone answer, please :-P

Never mind those people with 'premium membership'
How about those loyal players who have un-broken membership since 05 and beyond?

The loyal fan-base, who has literally been around for years through thick and thin, What do they get?

There are members here who have been around longer than most of jagex's workforce, and what do they get for there loyalty? months and months on end with continous direct debit payments?

Shame to see such a company go downhill so fast, all the updates in this 'year of the player' have been revenue making and milking the players for all their worth.

I remember logging into ANY world where you couldn't read the text on screen because they were bursting with players, now I'm lucky if i see 10 or more people in the G.E.

Such a shame..

Original message details are unavailable.
Hi Guthixan,

The Gold Premium Membership offered the following:

All of the extras from the Bronze and Silver tiers*
***;li>1500 RuneCoins, in addition to the 500 above - 2000 in total!

A range of cosmetic items, previously only available with game card purchases*
***;li>Additional Paladin Hero outfit cosmetic overrides: helmet, sword and shield*
***;li>A chance to win a trip to Jagex HQ, in Cambridge, UK!

A quarterly Premium Members' newsletter*
***;li>Cosmetic Items - Due to a torrent of popular demand, if you grab the feature packed Gold Package, you’ll gain instant access to all of the following cosmetic items, previously only available via game cards:

Flaming skull

Lightning staff 1, 2, 3 and 4

Scarecrow mask

Barbed bow

Ornate katana

Turkey hat

Green Skin

As you can see, the membership package promised you a range of cosmetics that were previously unobtainable. Unfortunately it did not say you would get all membership items released after this time. You can find more details here: http://services.runescape.***/m=rswiki/en/Premier_Club

You have not been scammed as you got everything you were promised and you can still get hold of the Aurora armour if you want it by purchasing three months membership. This will be added on top of any existing membership you have and you won't need to worry about membership again until the total amount expires.

Ok, I think we all need to consider the fact that, yes, okay, Gold/Silver Premier Club members forked out a large sum of money all at once at the beginning of the year for 12 months of membership and other bonuses.
These bonuses were set out in the original contract... you knew what you were getting when you signed up for it. It didn't say anything about being given every single cosmetic item that get's released in to the game for the following year, so why would you expect to receive it?
In the same way, perhaps it is unfair that Premier Club members receive automatic access to betas when there are (perhaps) other more loyal / more active / more deserving players who would want access to the betas before anyone else. However, they made the decision not to sign up for the Premier Club and have to accept these things as the past and move on.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, it's like going to the shops and buying a loaf of bread. However the shop is running a promotion where if you buy a bottle of milk, you get a lollipop for free. Then you ask why you didn't get the lollipop for free. Well you bought the loaf of bread didn't you? You didn't buy the bottle of milk, you didn't participate in that certain promotion, so why should you get the lollipop?

At the end of the day, Jagex is a company. Companies need to turn over money in order to run / expand and provide services to their members. If you're going to keep expecting new content like quests, new skills and updates like RS3, then you need to accept the fact that Jagex is going to have to raise money to pay for them. Sometimes these money-raising promotions will benefit you, some times they may not. At the end of the day, if it means that much to you, buy the extra 90 days membership, otherwise, cop it sweet and move on.
