Ok, I think we all need to consider the fact that, yes, okay, Gold/Silver Premier Club members forked out a large sum of money all at once at the beginning of the year for 12 months of membership and other bonuses.
These bonuses were set out in the original contract... you knew what you were getting when you signed up for it. It didn't say anything about being given every single cosmetic item that get's released in to the game for the following year, so why would you expect to receive it?
In the same way, perhaps it is unfair that Premier Club members receive automatic access to betas when there are (perhaps) other more loyal / more active / more deserving players who would want access to the betas before anyone else. However, they made the decision not to sign up for the Premier Club and have to accept these things as the past and move on.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, it's like going to the shops and buying a loaf of bread. However the shop is running a promotion where if you buy a bottle of milk, you get a lollipop for free. Then you ask why you didn't get the lollipop for free. Well you bought the loaf of bread didn't you? You didn't buy the bottle of milk, you didn't participate in that certain promotion, so why should you get the lollipop?
At the end of the day, Jagex is a company. Companies need to turn over money in order to run / expand and provide services to their members. If you're going to keep expecting new content like quests, new skills and updates like RS3, then you need to accept the fact that Jagex is going to have to raise money to pay for them. Sometimes these money-raising promotions will benefit you, some times they may not. At the end of the day, if it means that much to you, buy the extra 90 days membership, otherwise, cop it sweet and move on.
