1. There is no limit on the number of musical instruments you use. However, be aware as outlined in the competition terms "If you play as part of a group, that's fine, but we can only offer the prize (all parts of it) to one person "

2. This is your interpretation of the theme, as long as it's recognisably the RuneScape theme, anything else is fair game

Also got some questions here..

You said that the song shouldn't be longer than 5 minutes, so what's the minimum length? I saw that Scape Bold was about 2 minutes long, so I guess it should be at least 2 minutes

And second question is about Scape Bold, can I make a remix of it or isn't that original enough? :P When you feel stuck in depths of guilt, you're not alone as it is the path of many.

I hope you get to uploading more music from the game to your sound cloud. Hearing the original theme Orchestrated was as exciting as hearing music for the first time in the game back when RS2 launched. Jagex 2019 New Year Resolution... MTX our customers until RS3 SERVER SHUTDOWN PARTY!
The RS3 Community is treated like :@ RUBBISH :@ due to constant TH promotions.

Don't buy keys on Treasure Hunter, if you do Jagex will only make more TH promotions :(

For those who want sheet music - hope this rough outline helps (and makes sense!)

In Dorian mode ( D minor with a B natural instead of Bb), in 4/4//

A D A F E D F E D. A D A C B G A

The next bit is very similar, just transposed up a perfect 4th

Rhythm:

-------- tied
.!/o! o! / o!. (three triplet quavers) / .!.-.! o!./

REST FOR 3 beats .!/ o! o! / o!. (three triplet quavers) / O

Hope that makes some sense.
/ is barline (the piece starts with a crotchet anacrusis)
.! is crotchet
o! is minim
o!. is dotted minim
.!.-! is dotted quaver followed by semi quaver
O is semibreve
(three triplet quavers) is exactly that.
TIED, the second minim of the second bar is tied to the next dotted minim, and the same for the second minim of the 2nd line

Good luck everyone! I was going to compose a threnody to Guthix but not sure that would be appropriate to the party room! Also, as a few people have pointed out, the prize incentive is a bit poor. 50 spins and green skin...

Gee, it'd certainly help if I'd taken some kind of music composition course in school, lol. I know I'm gonna get smoked by those that have. Even though my name is a half-music band, half-Elder God pun, I was never a huge musician. Still, I'll submit what I come up with!

I know you're pretty free-rein on this, but is there any specific theme or mood you want it to be? Fast, loud, slow, soft... just whatever we think sounds good?

Just join for fun :) I haven't taken a music composition course either but still produce some nice solid sounds and the people on my Youtube/Soundcloud channel love the stuff I make because my sounds are more original this way then if I learned everything from a course

And for the speed I guess it can be anything as long as it fits in the party room. Mine will be at 170bpm :) When you feel stuck in depths of guilt, you're not alone as it is the path of many.
