This is completely false. jagex is fail. there are about 2-3 million active players, the rest of the accounts are accounts that were made and thrown away, and bots. enjoy your 50 million bots failex. learn how to operate a game.

NICE JAGEX, keep counting the bots. Its not worth bragging about how many accounts have been made, cause "YOU" know its just bots getting counted. talk about braging, you guys just love the membership money your getting from the botters.

GF Runescape. its just getting stupid now, idk if i wanna play cause nuthing is getting done. i cant even hunt nor do slayer tasks cause of the "BOTS". I doubt "JAGEX" will even read anything i even say, cause they dont care about me ever.

Jagex, you consistently use 'data' like this, in an attempt to make yourselves look good, and the result is always the same. We are not fooled, and this has only made you look more foolish.
Celebrating 200,000,000 'accounts' created since the Launch of RuneScape, would have been the truth. I can honestly say, that if your 'counter' had at least reflected that truth, I would have posted with far more positive comments than I have this day.
A year ago, Jagex 'promised' to try to be more clear and transparent about the bot issues. You made this promise to players like myself, Sun Exit, Nabu Rimmani, Xylun Xurr, Zaros Divine, and hundreds, even thousands of other players that took up the fight along side you to uphold the Spirit of the Game.
We have seen what you do with your 'data' and how in the end, we were just 'tools' to make you look better in light of negative public opinion. You failed to fulfill your 'promise' to try.....and now we are ignored as the 'vocal minority' in all things that are in the 'Spirit of the Game'.
This counter, this milestone, that you wish to celebrate, has become an insult, simply because you won't listen. You have yet again, tried to use clever wording to look better than you deserve.
Maybe using some clear and transparent communication now, could salvage this milestone, and be worthy of celebration.

awee, sound sad... No point of getting disappointed now...
well, let it go, its all that we can do.. jagex is now just following the saying: "If you can't beat them, join them".. Guess they are just expecting us to do the same as well..
As long as bots pay (for membership), bots stay...
Ps. they say "we want to celebrate with the people who made it possible: each and every one of you!"
Guess they are talking to the bots at that point, 'cuz its not "people" who made this possible!! O_o
