I said it before, and I'll say it again...
What *I* find bogus are the amount of people throwing around numbers in this thread based on nothing but pure conjecture and speculation. Not one single person here has any idea whatsoever how many accounts are active or legit, so please stop saying, "In my opinion..." or "I think that there are probably..." or "Based on my calculations..."
Because, quite frankly, none of you are right and it simply leads to more hyperbole and histrionics. And that's been old for a long time, now.
Also, people say, "Oh there's only X thousand amount of people on a day, so there's only that many accounts". People log on and off all the time. There's no way for you to know all those players on are the same people.
None of us have any statistics whatsoever, so none of us should make any assumptions about numbers. Period.

bot or no bot, there are still loads of people on rs! i highly doubt more than 2million accounts are bots, so does it matter? rs has grown so much since 2004! as ive been member, and playing from 2004 this deserves a massive round of applause

In my opinion this is at least one annoying person on the forums trying to suppress peoples thoughts and speculations.
Also you just said statistics are all useless and wrong.
You also said speculation was wrong.
This is how 79.821% of people determine things, such as making hypothesizes
and trying to learn something new or come to conclusions based on DATA.
I said it once before and I will say it again.
Why are you trying to suppress our community?
Technically the data DOES show from many many witnesses that bots outnumber real players at skilling spots.
Also its strange that the world populations drop by half at times after updates. For a few hours sometimes.

@Autumnshroud: But it is also hard to believe by looking on X number of bots which are clearly visible in any skilling place..
I understand your message there, but it doesn't change the fact that the X amount of account are bots/thrown away/ etc. I'd make that XXXXX number of bots.
