I'd like to know how many are bots, including PLAYERS ROLLED BACK because of botting. How many are active players? Members?
That and how many other stupid marketing gimmicks we're going to have to deal with. :/

Reading back through my post (page 63), I've realized how scathing it is... I'd just like to apologize for such caustic remarks.
While I still stand by my original argument in that Jagex is creating a lot of hype, I'd like to state that the enormous number of bots in the game is NOT Jagex's fault. Indeed, the fact that there are still so many people spending time trying to create advanced bots to overcome Jagex's anti-bot measures is a testament to how good the game actually is.
The only real fault with Jagex is their not showing details of the 200 million accounts to people who want to know about the account breakdown. How many of those 200 million are members? how many are inactive? how many have been caught for botting? how many are just free-to-play accounts which have just finished the tutorial before the players who made them quit? I believe that if Jagex simply releases this information and clarifies matters, a lot of the player animosity will disappear.

you guys are all mean. I don't really care if they are botted accounts or not.
Nobody even attempted to point out that the meer amount of space needed to save 200 million accounts on a variety of servers.
They probably have maxed out servers like... 1tb harddrives :o
at any rate, congratulations jagex that is a huge milestone nonetheless the consequences. Runescape has impacted thousands, millions of lives. So out of the 6.8 billion people or however there are in the world you have done some amazing improvements.
