Sadly, if i have to start over i'll most likely quit after years of playing. Sorry Jagex i'm just not excited. Especially after the hard work I've put into this account.
Just to make sure everyone knows (from the BTS Bonus Edition FAQ) :

Great news indeed, but is it necessary to talk about XP in every update you make. This games' focus is XP, squeal of fortune, and solomon's store.

I'll definitely try out RS3 for a short while, but that's all you'll expect from me.

Why would they do that? There's no need. Making things even more unobtainable for more players is never a good thing, lawl
