If they didn't...Runescape would have have less more players. The population would be 30,000 - 50,000. Look at it now its 110,598! That's 60% more players! I'm glad they bought '07 back. It is my favorite version of Runescape. I'm fine with the Runescape today.

Am I the only one who isn't ridiculously excited for this beta?
I mean..Yeah, the graphics will be cool. Interface customization, great. But graphics/utility aren't particularly interesting to me; they don't add something new to explore or accomplish or participate in- Put simply, they make having fun easier, but they themselves don't provide fun. What I'm infinitely more interested in is the player driven content they mentioned and whether or not it will be widely participated in (Not hugely hopeful after the Guthix Tribute Stone
).
Now, will I apply to the beta anyway? Hell yeah. I'm a 21st century human; I want to see cool stuff and I want to see it NOW!! But I don't think expecting this to be totally OMGEPIC will lead to your expectations being fulfilled. The graphics will be cool at first, but eventually you'll all run along on your farming runs and ignore them just like now. And I expect the interface changes will wow you even less; it'll be one of those ''This is cool..Oh, that's convenient...Alright, I always wanted that!..*Goes on with normal day*'' things- Like the action bar, revolutionary in terms of mechanics but easily forgotten about due to how obvious a change it was.

This is all exciting...cant wait!
but what i am wondering is.... with the release of runescape 3 will the skill side of it be all reset like 07 was? or will it just be a continuation of what we already have?
