You make a totally valid point. I've played this game for about 7 years and the way it has been going is just a disappointment. I feel as if the combat beta was just one step too far in the wrong direction. I agree with one of the mods (sorry forgot the name) that MMOS should be regularly updated. I also agree with the point HeroicSnorro brought up about the squeal wheel and the sense of achievement you get from getting rare drops and things like that. For example I went to Dagganoth Kings the other day because i noticed the prices of the drops from them had all gone way up...I geared up in the same exact gear I always do and headed out. When I got there I got completely torn because of the new prayer update and because of my lack of skill i guess as well. Dag kings to me were one of my favourite things to do and they have been pretty much the same thing since I played the game. I guess the point im trying to make is that I dont see much player involvement in the game, such as having us choose the updates and such kind of like I hear happening in the 07scape. I would really like to see the players be able to vote on the updates...maybe something mandatory when you log in since some people dont vote. PLEASE REMOVE THE EVOLUTION OF COMBAT =[ =[ =[ thats the game I loved

Really excited for this :D think it'll be a great step for RS graphically but please, I hope you have learnt from the mistakes of the EoC. If it's not ready, please don't rush it out and release it, that's why I (and many others I believe) have disliked the EoC to the extent that has been shown. Not because it's bad content (I like it); but because it simply wasn't ready when launched.

Being a gold member and playing this game on and off for the last 12 years, and depending on how the beta goes, i may forgive a very small ammount (about the size of a grain of sand) for locking us in for a year with these so called "exclusives" and then turn around and give them away via sgs...we have what to our selves again? a news letter that wasnt filled with much more then what you just told everyone. a discount on a year subscription, 2000 runecoins, an extra daily spin, and a katana thats as good as a bronze 2h....

They said on their 'Behind the Scenes - The Bonus Edition!' Youtube video that if you have an older computer you can still run RS on the original Java client.

I hope loyal Runescape players will have a fair shot at early access on Wednesday, playing for 6 years and being a loyal member for nearly half of that and a member on alt accounts I would hope we were not ignored for missing out on the gold membership.
