This IDEA is probably one of the best ideas Jagex has had in the last few months! I myself started playing well....way way back. And I remember 07' as one of RS finest years by far (11' was the best in my opinion though). However if this is going to be focused on August 2007+ this means many things (which most of us like) would be gone if I understood the letter correctly...so my questions are:

1) GWD Armour and Chaotic weapons with skills like Dungeoneering will not take part of this MAssive update? Is this true?
2) Highest level boss? KQ?
3) All the quests that have been released after 2007 will not be available?
4) JAG and Security mechanisms will work?
5) Overloads and Curses? No I guess.
6) Barrows would be the best sets out there?
7) Rocktails, flasks, Unicorn + Healing Aura, Gano Beasts, RuneSpan..etc...NO?
8) Skills and Player banks would work how? Because if the above questions are NO, how could you introduce a chaotic rapier into (and offhand) a 07' server?

All aswers and discussions much appreciated X.

Every new account made on runescape now gets a free 14 days trial membership.

But wait! you cannot vote with trial accounts.

But wait again! how much it costs to buy membership on trial accounts???

1.98$!

Make a new trial membership account, buy member for 1.98$ , vote and repeat.

If the whole community does this for 7 time, we will get 750k votes easily.

Please share this everywhere so we can reach our goal and unlock f2p on these servers.

Hello all players, Forum Mods & Jagex Mods,

Here is what I think of the return of the 2007 version of good ol' Runescape!

1) It is good that Jagex have actually listened to the Runescape community and have developed an idea of bringing back a previous version of the game where the love for the game was at its utmost highest point.

2) On the other hand, you have disappointed many of us with this new idea - the level reset. I do not think that this is fair at all on the dedicated players. Why would we start again from Level 3 when we already have an account and bother to train it on a 2007-server? What is the point in that. I personally think that the accounts that we currently hold should be left as they are - but with all post-2007 weapons, armour, items, skills and other little things REMOVED, but the statistics of the accounts remain untouched.

3) In my opinion, I think that you should give the 2007-servers a little update with the God Wars Dungeon as you know that a LOT of players do battle in the GWD for loot and just for fun.

4) Another little update you could add is the Grand Exchange although not necessary. This is because the Grand Exchange acts as a social gathering and a one-stop shop for all your needs. This is because, based upon my 2nd point, people are not going to be bothered to train ESPECIALLY if they cannot buy specific items/food etc with ease, therefore the love of the 2007 version of the game will rapidly decrease and you would have just wasted your time bringing it back - can you see where I'm coming from?

I started the game back in 2006 - not with this account. To be completely honest, the Runescape game that I played before the year 2010 were the best years.. none of the STUPID Squeal of Fortune or Solomon's Store (pathetic money-grabbing updates) and pre-EoC!

Yes, bring the 2007-version back, but update it with GWD and GE, and keep the stats as they are. No one will bother levelling up when the current RS does it quicker. Think.

i think its a joke for me to start again when im maxed barrows pure wtf! i was pre eoc severs so i can pk as maxed barrows pure i have not put all this time and effort in so that i can start again because on 07 is here im not going to be playing eoc of ive wasted like 400 days of my life trying to max an accoutn which is no good to me. in 07 and what about my rares i have collected over the years what will happen to them they are no good to me on eoc. why cant you just transfer are accounts in that they are now why do we have to start fresh......you dont half make my blood boil sometimes

jagex really sad to bring back 2007 scape, dat way back atleast pre eoc version would be good, i played 2009 when it had summ and curse prayer, since yall said u guy dont have backup plan for nov 19,2012 what if eoc crashed, bet yall will panic in business ,
and atleast if bring back 2007 atleast put are stats at eoc to 2007 scape
can,t yall do dat ... yall can reset stats cant u make the stats the like eoc system now
waste of my 314 day of playing to start back at lvl 3

Yeah, let's cheat the system so that Jagex loses more money on its bottom line and produces less quality updates in the future. What a great idea.
