Everyone saying they want a 2009-12 server are completely missing the point of an 'OLD SCHOOL' server, personally after playing this game on and off for 9 years some of the best game time experiences are from 2004-7.

If Jagex legitimately wanted to see what kind of numbers there were dealing with, I cannot see why they wouldn't allow 2007 accounts to vote. You can't mass produce them and they're the target market. It just looks like you're trying to force people to buy membership. Currently, the vote looks like it will be dictated by what the bots want.

I completely agree, why can't they make it that 2007 and below that year have a saying? I don't buy *he excuse they're using for Mems only, surely there are way's to know the legitimacy of polls...

there are currently 1.85 million members accounts according to highscores.

and alot are trial accounts wich wont be allowed to vote.

however a heck of alot of the accounts are bots. and it is in the botters best interest to have a free 2007 server.

so expect the botters to vote multiple times.

so mabey the bots can do something good for the community for once...
and push over the 750k mark :D

For all those non members, are you really not willing to pay 1 MONTH membership to get cheaper 2007 servers for all of us? That kinda seems against the point of fighting so hard, saying you will pay so much for them to return, and then as soon as money is mentioned back away and have second thoughts? Come on surely everyone can muster 1 months members just to get that vote, we will never hit 500k votes unless we all work together, I've bought my month lets do this!

Actually a good idea would be giving people who have either been members in the past or present for more than 3 months should be given the opportunity to vote(even if they don't pay for members anymore).

Would give the opportunity to old players who want this system back. Also it isn't alienating a big part of this community(free to play).

I have yet to see a good argument on why stats/accounts should not be transferred. I'm not talking about the wealth, just the stats and possibly quests. And, whereas for some people it might, indeed, be better, I'm fairly certain that most of the people who'll be voting for 2007 servers are PKers. Because, there's nothing wrong with EoC in terms of skilling or PvM.

Find it kinda funny that MMG more or less braggs about having more than 8 million active players (or atleast that was what I got out of his post) yet states that 750 k votes is a stretch goal. 750 k is less than 10 % out of 8 million, not a lof of confidence in the amount of voters one would assume.
