Nice one Jagex, i really love the old school Runescape, but really more at 2009.. Oh and yeah, if you will require money for playing in those servers, believe me i won't pay, because i never was and never will be a member :)

P.s i really hate the new combat system, and im a veteran player, so believe me this is the most stupid update that ever happened to rs.

I will only play (pay for) this if rares were somehow introduced in the same proportions as were present in the 2007 version of the game. Rares have always been my main goal in Runescape, and I think without them, the game wouldn't be even remotely as "Old School" as advertised. No matter how much you return the graphics to their original flavor, no matter how much you reroll servers.. It just won't be the same without those elusive rare items that many people strive to acquire.

If the game can be rerolled to its former 2007 self, why can't our stats/banks be rerolled as well? It won't be the classic 2007 version of the game unless people can start off where they left off. I find it very hard to believe that 750k people will be inclined to train from level 1 all over again. The people that played this game back in 2007 have had 6 years to move on to other serious real life commitments that take up time that their younger selves had the luxury of blowing on Runescape. Highschool, college, and jobs (gasp!) all take up more of our time now, and we don't have the time to spend years getting our stats back up to where they SHOULD have been in 2007. Think about it.. Runescape was released in 2001. If you started playing then, you would need 6 years to get back to the stats you had in 2007. Lets not even talk about the time needed to get that same account to where it stands in the CURRENT version of the game. The time alone needed to get me back to where I was is enough to incline me to ignore this and continue on merching phats in the current version of RS, while pretending I never even saw this potentially great idea of 2007 servers.

I understand it will be a little difficult to decide just who gets rare items, but I may have an idea for their introduction.. We could introduce rare items into the drop tables of certain monsters we would be killing early on, like Man (Level: 2) but only for as long as until their proportionate quotas are met.*

I think bringing back the old servers is a fantastic idea, but it's still a money based vote. A lot of older players will not renew membership just to vote for something that will never be what it should. Sure 50,000 is obtainable, but with that being said, you'll never see more than 150k. So, this means renewing membership then paying an extra charge on top of that to play something That won't even be maintenanced for 15$ month. I think that's a bit steep. I understand you must make money, but there are better initiatives than this.

yeah id have to say 2009-012 bounty hunter and wildy were my best times, allthough pking was really dying because of updates up to 2012 it was still alot of fun regardless, also 2009-2010-2011 there was a decent pk clan community.

There is one main thing I dislike:
"2007 servers will come back as a separate entity to the current Runescape game, with an additional membership fee of around $15." (Level 1).

I don't see why the players who want an older game should pay an extra $15 (according to google that's like £9.60) to play a retro game which will receive little to no updates.

So for myself it would be like £6+£9.60= £15 just to make an account to play old RS? A massive scam imo. I wouldn't pay that much!. That's assuming i'm seeing it correctly.

Exactly this.

It's bad enough that most people were acting childishly and spamming the forums WHILE they are adults/adolescents.

It's even worse that they seem to lack an important character trait which: the ability to ADAPT. It's concerning to say the least. It's even more worrisome that Jagex listens to these pathetic children.

I understand they have to they are a company, not a parent and thus have no choice. But realize from a psychological standpoint. You lost, they won. And you have now created a problem for yourself. As now they will do this whenever they disagree with something. You're walking a fine line here.

The ability to adapt is a very important trait in life. People or companies who can't handle change don't make it in real life.

I do not condone this childish manner and certainly not people who are so weak of mind. Therefore I will abstain from voting.

If you are a quitter, if that's your character. Then stay quit.

While I enjoy the memories of World 1 and World 2 everyone trying to sell their stuff at varrock bank. I'm glad we have the G.E. now for fast transactions.

Have fun with no summoning, no construction, no farming, no hunter, no dungeoneering, no pets, no G.E., nog Godwars and lots of other No's that have made runescape as great as it is.

And seriously. To the people who are complaining about the year. Do you not read?! It's the only backup they have.

You will know what you are missing when you start playing 2007 again.

I promise you. You will be bored.
