Well, that would a good point except Jagex did claim there's 'partial backups' and 'complete backups', i'm sure they could rollback 24 hours or so, however i doubt they could take a revision made in 2007 and roll it back a year worth of updates, a short term rollback would be accounts and a bug fix in most cases, leaving just the current revision and rolling back account logs etc.

I support the current direction of the main game (mostly), but I have to say this is pretty cool. However, I do question if having the poll open for current members only is appropriate. Many of the people who were so adamant about having an option to play an older style of RuneScape have dropped their membership because of the lack of that option. It seems unfair to expect these people to renew membership (pay money) just to vote for something that may or may not turn out in their favor. Now I realize that opening the poll to F2Pers allows rigged votes, but what about opening the poll to F2Pers who were members for a while (have multiple levels in member only skills)? Also, considering many of those who left the game probably never check here, you may want to extend the poll to more like a month to give news of it time to spread through word of mouth.

As this thread is getting near 1000 pages, I doubt someone will read this, but it's worth a shot I guess.

Dear jagex,

the way you are holding this poll is very strange. even if i vote no, my vote will count for the vote total. this means that if i do not want these servers i should not vote.

however if i do not vote i can not express my oppionion. therefore i think the vote totals should be changed to the ammount of people voted YES and not for the ammount of pple that voted.

so what if we hit the 750k votes and 80% of the pple dont want it? well to bad for them becouse the other 20% wants it and the vote total has been reached.

this also means that if i do not want these servers i should not vote. but how do you than know how manny pple want this to happen to the people that dont want this to happen?

the rules and guidlens for this poll are not fair. if i dont vote my vote wont count and we wont get the servers, but if i vote NO my vote will count and even though i voted NO we still get these servers. votes dont work this way. its simply not fair and unballenced, this way you will never get the trough ammount of pple that like and dislike this update!

No, the players who are paying membership to play 2007scape would be paying for their own game. There are thousands upon thousands of players who will becoming a member only to play 2007scape and it will pay for more then the costs of hosting the old servers because no new content or updates are required to handle it.

That means all of the extra money is going to your main game to help with the updates for you and help expand Jagex.
