There will have to be some sort of transfer, boost or feature that will start things off for the system. I cannot imagine waiting 6+ months for people to reach 99 smithing and then BEGIN to pump out Rune Armour sets, 6+ months for people to reach 85+ slayer for abyssal whips to BEGIN to pump out. You get my drift."

There are many other places to get rune than smithing except for a few of the rune items. Pl8, chain, legs, skirt can be bought after D *layer. Scimmies, swords, daggers, full and med helms square shields, b axe etc drops.
Whips will take a while but that is the new best weapon in the game, it shouldn't be readily available at the beginning.
If you can't wait for these items don't play in the beginning. There are TONS of people such as myself that will be no lifing trying to reach #1 in skills or be the first to achieve something etc, I will be going for first person to 99 Rcing! Wait a year and then come back and play and I'm sure everything will be a lot more readily available with how much people will be no lifing for top ranks that are now open to everyone and anyone.
