I don't understand why people are saying that as much as 250k will be hard to reach, because they're skeptical of the amount of members in the game still. High-scores are only accessible if you're a member. There's over 1.8m people on the high-scores (there could even be more people who haven't reached level 30s yet). Lets just say that 400k won't count towards the vote, because they're botting real world traders who don't play a role in the vote. So that currently leaves 1.4m membership accounts that can vote, and come Friday there will be a dramatic increase in memberships, because of all of the people who wish to resubscribe for one month for the sole sake of casting their vote (such as myself, and my group of friends who've quit in the past few months). If we get a hefty amount of the Runescape community to vote in favor of the servers it's definitely possible to receive at least 500k votes, and maybe even that magical 750k mark.
People are being too harsh on Jagex, and although I do see the marketing strategy that is behind the levels I also do see the reality that's present in the possibility of reaching that number. It's more possible than people seem to realize. Just cast your vote for yes, and hope for the best. I'm positive that '07 servers will come back; all that matters now is how much effort will be put into the servers.
Think guys, c'mon. It's not a conspiracy; It's a business. They need to assure that they'll be making profit from this, and in my opinion THEY'LL DESERVE THE MONEY.
