Echoing the language of the 15th Amendment, the Act prohibits states from imposing any "voting qualification or prerequisite to voting, or standard, practice, or procedure ... to deny or abridge the right of any citizen of the United States to vote"(W*kipedia).

Dear Jagex, How can you allow only paying players at the moment voting rights, and not those who have paid for membership for years? Are you thus discriminating against our opinions in hope that this will not be brought back? Jagex are not giving everyone a fair chance to vote, not only that, but those who get to vote are only of 200,000 or less. Now what makes you think all of them are going to vote Yes? Not all of them are in favor of Old Runescape. Please Jagex give your loyal players a chance to vote. This is not fair for everyone and you guys know it.

I don't care if they don't abide by the U.S. laws, how is this fair in any way?
Give the players a chance to express their opinions without paying to vote!!

Is Jagex that concerned about getting memberships? If they just released the game, didn't waste peoples time to vote then people would spend money and buy the membership. What fun will it be if EVERYONE is a member? I miss the old F2P days, but I guess its going to be just P2P.

Jagex is a business and is probably in dire need of the money they lost from players that quit because of EoC, and this is how they are making up for it. 750k new subscribers is 5.7 million dollars. Take note at all of the posts on this thread that have memberships starting this month.

I would literally pay you guys every last penny in my bank account if you DON'T bring this back.

Focus on the game now. You know, the good one with fun combat, Dungeoneering, the massive number of quests, and (mostly) balanced game content. '07 Scape has none of these.

Every post I read on this sticky disgusts me. The amount of support for this wretched idea disgusts me. In fact, just the other day, I had mentioned on these forums that my faith in the community was restored slightly... well, it's gone now. In fact, my faith in the RuneScape community has never been worse.

Jagex, shame on you for giving in.

If you have the full Backup from August 2007 Just do a complete Backup. Give us the stats that we had then. I feel this would be best for bringing back the old veterans.

I presume you want to make everyone start off from scratch to make it equal for everyone who wants to attempt the old version. But it doesn't make it better, Alot of the old players will not return because they would be years away from getting back to where they were in 2007.. and The point at which they enjoyed the game. Bringing it back as a full complete backup with stats would make it like the next day never happened.. People could enjoy what they had... And people could join and start from scratch as if it were still a 2007 live game. Saying to keep it equal by starting from scratch is horrible considering it would be like resetting the entire game each time someone new started.. To make it 'equal'

I would love to play a version of 2007 where my now maxed account was back in it's pking prime, Not a version where i would have to start from scratch... I would indeed pay the extra 15$ a month to have an old version of my account back

I would also like to see a consideration of uploading current accounts onto the old version platform for a fee as well i would pay. With EoC staying for good on the current game.. I know alot of players have Pures and Pker accounts that are now useless with all the hard work done to make them. Give the option to upload the account to the old version.. I personally spent years on a Maxed lv Pure, which was nuked when EoC came.. it cannot even wear iron since the level req changes. Being able to bring the current pure back to where they're able to fight at their best would bring alot of players back who loved the ability to use pures. Once again, i would not be afraid to pay a fee to see this. Is it hard? I wouldn't think so.. since when the EoC Beta Testing came we could simply click a button and upload our accounts. Have it set up like that. minus 08+ era stats
