Guys, don't think of this as a grind "restart". Think of this as a reset button! You have a chance to be on the high scores! You have a chance to be in the top 21 spots for a skill... you have the chance to do something that you may made a mistake back then by not doing! This is an exciting time. I am super pumped for 07Scape. Whips, Dark Bows, Barrows, D Chain, Dag King loot!

-also, I think there is some confusion as to which "members" can vote. If you're complaining about how there aren't even that many members right now, go sign up for membership! I did, and I know many others have as well. You still get to vote!

I want this to happen. It's a shame the vote is member's only, though, and that the amount of active members will never be able to get a cheap version of prime RS. It seems like a clever formula to entice people to buy membership in hopes of an old experience, but if not enough people fall for it, then they charge additional membership fees for the ability to play an over five-year-old version of the game. The business model is straight up backwards.

What they NEED to do is allow ALL members to vote in addition to ALL players accounts created before August 2007 with 1000+ hours of logged time. This will make it so current members AND veterans that have moved on will BOTH get a voice in this.

"The Voting Rights Act of 1965 is a landmark piece of national legislation in the United States that outlawed discriminatory voting practices...
Echoing the language of the 15th Amendment, the Act prohibits states from imposing any "voting qualification or prerequisite to voting, or standard, practice, or procedure ... to deny or abridge the right of any citizen of the United States to vote"(W*kipedia).

Dear Jagex, How can you allow only paying players at the moment voting rights, and not those who have paid for membership for years? Are you thus discriminating against our opinions in hope that this will not be brought back? Jagex are not giving everyone a fair chance to vote, not only that, but those who get to vote are only of 200,000 or less. Now what makes you think all of them are going to vote Yes? Not all of them are in favor of Old Runescape. Please Jagex give your loyal players a chance to vote. This is not fair for everyone and you guys know it.

I don't care if they don't abide by the U.S. laws, how is this fair in any way?
Give the players a chance to express their opinions without paying to vote!!

Is Jagex that concerned about getting memberships? If they just released the game, didn't waste peoples time to vote then people would spend money and buy the membership. What fun will it be if EVERYONE is a member? I miss the old F2P days, but I guess its going to be just P2P.

Let Everyone VOTE!!!

Shut up. Stop spamming this crap.

First of all, Jagex is a COMPANY and is in no way required to follow that law. They're generous to even give the customers a vote. You have no right to tell them anything you want done, technically.

Second, Jagex is a company based in the UK, so it doesn't affect them anyway.

So, in short, shut up you ignorant whelp.

Im for the motion, but adolescents like you could ruin this.

LOL 50k member votes, at least 50k member votes??? You make me laugh EOC made about 50% of those players leave, all those crappy updates made 40% of the members leave, the remaining 10% are most 5% legit players and 5% bots, seen enough bots lately, it's a fact that bots are still running RS economy which is pretty sad... So I gues unless all those free players buy mems you will bring old RS back... money leechers...

Firstly. gerhard bleats & states he's listened to our views, then he insults our intelligence. The only, yes only reason this 'thing' is doing this,is revenue! Pure & simple,he can spin it any way he chooses.

So to all you idiots out there, that are happy spending your hard earned cash on cosmetic armour & fancy teleports, please carry on,your just the kind of sheep gerhard loves, and I'm sure that as long as you keep on spending,he will keep on listening.

Wake up ffs,see the bigger picture here,it's only being offered to generate more $£ for it's shareholders. The whole idea like gerhard, turns my stomach tbh.
