Dear god no. Would it not be possible to do a pre november 20th/2010/2011 rather than 2007? half the kids who are constantly going on about how amazing 2006/7 are weren't there in the first place. NEWS FLASH; IT WASN'T THAT GOOD.

Jagex, you have to realise that in 2006/7 pking was a lot bigger than it is now, and nower days your more likely to find more pvmers than pkers. If you release a game based in 2007 then that's eliminating a lot of people from playing. If I do remember rightly, the only real "bosses" we had until LATE 2007 were kbd and the kalphite king and dks. correct me if i am wrong, but they're really not that fun.

Old School Runescape coming back would be the Highlight of 2013 to most players. After the E.O.C many players, including myself and friends Quit, due to the lack of interest in learning how to fight a Goblin, per say. Making the Vote Members only limits the votes to the few members that try to enjoy the game today. The voting system should be based on time, there should be at least 3 months of playtime before a member is allowed to vote. Bringing back Old Runescape would be a Very great decision. The only Question is; Would we still have our Stats, Bank, and various other elements like quests and acheivments that we have today? Or do we need to start all over? Starting fresh with nothing only contradicts how most players would want to play

Its got my vote...

Hopefully this will actually receive attention as you clearly stated and not turn up being a RuneScape Classic that hardly receives any attention.

Also, if the vote passes to bring it back can you put the link to the game somewhere on the homepage so its easy to access unlike when you want to try and play RuneScape Classic you have to search for it. Make like 3 main buttons on which version of the game you'd like to play somehow? Or integrate them all into 1 page somehow kinda like how PvP worlds and non-PvP worlds were back in the day.

Just food for thought...

Kudos to Jagex for listening to the player feedback about this!

Realistically though, I doubt a large portion of the current RS clientele will permanently migrate to 2007scape. While it'll most definitely be fun to go there every now and then for a slice of nostalgia, the game-play there will be forever stagnant. No updates. No mystery. It'll just exist.

I do believe that if/when these servers are released, a lot of players will realise just how good we've got it at the moment. Hopefully Jagex won't have wasted too much time/resource on this when the novelty wears off.
