Good news everyone!!!!!!

Please import stats I could care less about money or items. Already spent 10 years training really don't want to do it again now that I'm older and don't have time to train.

Really like this idea looking forward to seeing it come alive.

I would even take my 2007 stats I think I was lvl 80 :)

Personaly i think that it may be a good idea as it will bring back many ex-players.

However this is the potential problams and solutions:

Prices will become unstable and not correct for its potential***** bandos was soloable in "07".) The solution is make things non transferable from old and new runescape also make it so there is no exchange system in the "07" system or remove the grand exchange (if it was around then.)

In conclusion to prevent price incorrection is to; make it so there is no grand exchange in the old version/ also make it so things can not be taken into the old game from the current one and also the current one into the "07" version.


Secondly i think it is disguisting that you plan on implimenting a price increase on membership as obviously when you think about it nomatter how much surport you get it will cost the same anyway also if i don't go on the old version will i still be expected to pay more then what i pay anyway!?

In conclusion to prevent this dont make it cost more to go on the describable rsps and if you do make it an optional payment; as we all know there Are f2p world and members worlds that are silver and gold stars.
My implement in how to resolve this is:

Free to play = bronze star
Standard members = silver star
Premium member (+"07" ) = gold star

Also to make the price less i sugest more adverts in f2p resulting in the removal of the 3 star system as i think being a member is starting to lose its honour and privilages and imposing extra adverts into the free to play community will make paying members - the founders, players and funders of this great game once again worth it at no extra free!

To justify i think more adverts in f2p worlds to make "07scape" avalable to all existing paying members at a charge of no additional fee! Or use the 3 star system so people who only want to play current runescape can without havimg to pay extra for a facility they do not want to pay for! Mike

Well im glad jagex responded to the hype but here are my concerns

First...

I get your excuse saying this is only for people who are paying but when you phrase it like that it shows your true intent to squeeze every last penny out of people before saying oh well we fell shy of our goal and dropping the project but walking away with a few hundred thousand dollars.

second...

What date in august? This is crucial pre august 28th means no gwd etc

Third...

From scratch is pretty pointless considering that this game will have no rares. You dont have to tell me jagex's huge discontent for rares in the game to begin with i already know. But they are a crucial part of any existing economy.

Fourth...

Dont really have a fourth off hand but its pretty lame that you made this a members vote knowing full well that like 90% of the people interested are people who quit. "I've been playing since 2006 but jagex made me quit 11/20/2013"

was realllly hoping that it was a later server like 2012... also that i wouldnt have to start from scratch seeing as i put all that time into my account... i was really supporting this movement but now it's kind of disappointing. i guess ill still vote for it :/

Really enjoyed reading that post. 2007 was a good year (as my username suggests, it was when I began playing), and I can't wait to see tutorial island again! :)

Just out of curiousity, does this vote have anything to do with the shutting down of 2006scape? I'm fully aware that the server was always at a high risk of closing down, but it actually stayed up for a while before shutting down [supposedly] for copyright infringement.

Well, regardless of what role Jagex played in that (I honestly hope you shut them down and they didn't decide to leave with all those donations), I'm very happy to see this possibility arise. I will definitely be voting YES! :D

How will there be any rares in the game if all of our accounts start fresh?

People asked for this and Jagex listened and gave people what they wanted.......

Do people actually think Jagex has a backup of everyone's stats/items from 5+ years ago?

And you certainly can't transfer today's stats to an outdated game.........

I will continue to laugh at drama occurring on the forums...........
