Oh goodness.

Time to renew my membership * this is like Christmas come early.

As a player since Classic, I can recall few updates I've been this excited about; it's a good thing I still occasionally hop onto fansites, or I'd have missed this.

I'm hopeful that the reset in terms of stats and the lack of rare items will remove large amounts of distortion in the economy. I think I'll grab membership for the ability to vote. :)

I don't like how scammy they're making the voting goals, but hopefully we can surprise them with overwhelming support. Personally I would certainly pay 5 bucks extra to have an account from scratch on the old server, as being comped currently I have nothing better to do. I hope to max an account on 2007 server, perhaps be the first to do so.

It'll be very interesting to see a new economy and community evolve in the new servers, and it would revitalize a lot of nostalgia if done right. Good luck to everyone, lets get dem votes so we don't have to pay as much for it, but like I said it's a little disappointing to see how money-grabbing the whole deal is, regardless of the cost to Jagex to implement the servers.

Well, I heard about this from a YouTube spam message, and had to see if it was true. Jagex has done something partially right for once... thinking about playing this game again maybe. I stopped playing over a year ago because of the the 'microtransaction' updates, EoC coming, and all of that jazz. I'm actually kind of excited that RuneScape might turn around... although I would prefer the Grand Exchange in the 2007 servers. If this all works out and I don't have to pay a ridiculous amount of money to start out fresh on these 2007 servers, I will be very happy to start playing this game again in a few months. People on this game always have something to whine about with no evidence to back up their claims, but I really think this whole 2007 come-back will be great. As long as JaGex doesn't pollute the 2007 servers with the 'Squeal of Fortune'or any other non-sense that we don't want, i'll take it.

You are quite ignorant and are spending your time flaming this thread along with all of it's supporters. When really, you could just keep your mouth shut, and carry on playing Runescape in it's current state and none of this would ever even affect you. You have made quick 2 sentence replies to all of the supporters implying that you have ridiculed them even though it just makes you look stupid for not backing up your "evidence." Stay out of the thread if you do not agree. Or you could simply write a 1500 word post on the reasons of your disagreement. Then you could carry on with what you're doing in Runescape.

I have worked hours upon hours on my account. I have never liked the EOC and stopped playing after it was implemented. Why are you forcing us to retrain all of our skills that we have earned through countless years of playing? And also, why are you limiting the poll to only current members? I myself was a member before EOC and loved the old combat style. Limiting the votes to only members will not show the true number of loyal players who do want the return of the old combat system. There are plenty of loyal F2P players that have been loyal to this game over the years and they will love to have a vote side by side with members. They are a part of this game.

I hate the EOC and will never play it even if it is the "current" version of this game. Having my stats stuck unto the EOC servers is disgusting. I am disappointed that you guys didn't even consider that players would want to play both the EOC and old combat system when you guys first implemented the EOC. This was just another mistake like the removal of the wilderness and free trade back in 07.

This was just another example of "Lets fix it even if it wasn't broken!" mindset of Jagex. Just like the graphical overhaul of the dragon scimitar and longsword issues (The handle of the sword is an ugly tan). You guys cant even seem to get these small issues in order.

I have been playing ever since 06 and have seen some major issues throughout Runescape. I have stuck through with Jagex and other players that loved this game. I was so proud to achieve my stats just like many others over the years. You are putting our work to a waste.

@ Amascut, no... A lot of them are like me and were waiting for the EoC to cave in and be reverted. Now that the FAQ on this thread clearly states that will never happen, we will legitimately quit the game, there goes even more members lost that will definitely not be "replaced". I know, you're going to reply with how great and loved the EoC is (lies) but in reality it's a complete failure and even the very concept of it is not well received by an obvious majority of the community. You do realize Jagex is a business and they need to make money in order to operate? Shafting a large base of your customers is not a good way to make money. The ONLY reason they have not reverted the EoC is due to the time and money they stupidly sank into it. Completely reckless, we should not have to pay for their mistakes, we already pay their damn salaries.

Its pretty obvious us vets will mainly want pre eoc worlds and the vote should
be for players who actually played in the year and not voted against by
players who have been playing for a short time.
This is what made the bring back wildy vote such a farce.
Just open pre EOC worlds up and see how many players are in there.
You can shove the extra fees where the sun don''t shine.
Thats not the way to stop LOYAL Players quitting a sinking ship.
When you say start fresh are you stripping us of our levels money
equipment quests ect ect if so this is unfair on our 7 years grafting.
And i willl NOT give up all that when you can just give us non EOC worlds. .And now the end is near its time to raise the final curtain.
Regrets i have a few, but i did it my way.
