I don't know if this has been said yet or not, but I really don't feel like sorting through 1600+ posts. So here goes.
In Jagex's live Q&A, MMG stated many, many times how shocked he was that somewhere in the area of 2 million people visited the poll page, yet only 10% of those people voted.
Doesn't that tell anyone anything? That maybe, just MAYBE some 1.8 million people DON'T want 07 servers back at all?
I honestly couldn't care less *hether or not they come back. I certainly won't be paying the extra fee that is likely to incur to play them. Even if they are free, I probably still won't.
I will however say this; if people want the 07 servers back, they should have to play the game EXACTLY how it was in 07. None of these "possible changes" or "Community polls for content", nothing after (what was it? August 7th 2007?) should be allowed to be added to those servers.
If people want GE, or control of what combat EXP is gained, they should have to play main game servers. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.
I realize they will be paying for them, and therefore may feel entitled to additional content, but if you ask me, people who want to play those servers are paying for the right to do so. Not for additional content, or "weekly" updates.
I'm honestly just sick of Jagex caving to the whining of a select few people. They cried, and whined, and bitched, and complained that they wanted old wildy back, and they got it. I loved PvP worlds. The thought that you could be attacked anywhere you went was truly exhilarating. And now people are crying, and whining, and bitching and complaining about how they want 07 servers. And look, here they come again. Enjoy! Next time, please use lube, complainers!
