"I would love to play runescape 2007 at a premium BUT I will NOT play if i have to pay for membership on EoC Im not going to pay for a game that i dont play just to play a game I want to play and pay extra for. NO THANKS "

You really think people will keep paying 20$+ dollars each month to play? Even if we reach 250k, we'll need to pay like 12$ each month. People will keep paying for the first couple of months but it won't continue.

"It's really good that you're bringing in 2007 servers but come on the number of votes for certain levels are unrealistic... It should be something like;

Level 1- 50k

Level 2- 125k

Level 3- 250k

Level 4- 500k"

Whilst I'd love to re-live the golden days, I do not want to pay for membership for the modern version of the game - it's an insult to what it once was. An additional charge is a definite no-no. The only way 500k would be achievable is if around 250k resubbed just to vote in the poll (I'm guessing Jagex hoped for that to happen). But its a pretty cheap tactic to but the tiers so high, and require it to be members only.

I'm guessing Jagex know all to well that bots won't vote, and already had a pre-determined figure of how many people would take part in the poll.

Then when they release the servers (with a $15/$5 month fee ontop of current membership ROFL), there won't be many people playing on them because no one is willing to pay that much for a service that private servers can give for free. Then Jagex can palm it off as 'a failure' or say 'not enough people were interested'.

It really doesn't cost a thing to host a 2007 runescape server, which I believe is the only thing that can redeem runescape from being the laughing stock of browser games it currently is.

The potential of past members coming back is enough to warrant them having a vote, the fact they were interested enough to vote in the poll should be enough."

We barely have 140k right now. Jagex just made money from all the players that renewed there membership just to vote and they'll keep making more money from those same players when they play 2007Scape by paying like $12 or $20 dollars a month.

If we don't reach 500k+ votes, 2007Scape will die. Not a lot of people can keep paying $20 a month or even $12..."

i absolutley hate EOC and what the flip is MTX? i was around in 05' so i know my stuff lol ;)

but yeah i would love if everyone got a rare item (one of each for fairness) and made them no trades.

Durial3321, doing something like that would absolutely kill old runescape. I, and thousands of other players wouldn't even play the game if Jagex did something like that. And yup. I have 10k fish masks and like 2k tree hats in eocscape. Umad brah

Lol, how else do you want them to go about it? They want people on both servers along with a lot of people. That's why I'm happy that only members get to vote. Everyone would flock to 2007 servers because they own one, and EOC would die for the people who actually like it so that people could stand around with a partyhat. The 2007 servers aren't about rares, it's about the old feel, pking etc. Making them available from Diango would make more sense and would be fair, rather than giving a select amount of people partyhats and other rares.

Mints, my thoughts are either have them do what they did when Runescape was created, or don't put them in at all. I understand where you are coming from with this, but doing things like giving them to Diango and every player just isn't old runescape. I understand it obviously won't be EXACTLY like it was back in 2007 in terms of the feel of the game, but I, and everyone else want it to be as close as possible; without Jagex doing something like you are mentioning. One thing like that, leads to another small thing, which leads to another small thing, and before you know it old runescape has had 20 updates to it and its not even the old game anymore.

And another thing, I, and I bet a good 100,000 people, didn't have the intentions of playing old runescape with everyone running around in partyhats. That COMPLETELY kills the feel of the old game and makes it look like a private server. Old runescape is old runescape. Please do not try adding updates to it.

I mean just look at the other comments. Others are saying to put the grand exchange in old runescape ffs. That's not even fair to say and isn't even the game. Jagex said they won't make ANY updates to the server and I hope to God they hold their word to it. Changes like these are what killed the current game and what made eocscape. Notice they didn't take a vote on the evolution on wombat because 95% of the players would have voted against it. No changes. Period.
