I see alot of people complaining about the costs. Yes, Jagex set the bar extremely high with the number of people to commit. This is a business strategy. They set the bar really high so more people will get memberships to vote. When they release the 2007 version they can lower the cost and have more people pay for it. I bought member ship to vote in this poll because I would love to go back and play the 2007 version. Jagex, please listen to your players on the money situation. I can afford 5-8$ a month, but I won't be playing the current RS version. If there are two different "teams" there need to be two different pay rates. We will not be getting game or graphics updates so we do not need to pay more for services we will not be using. Please take this into consideration. I will pay for the 2007 version for years, but if the pay rate is higher than I can afford, I will not be playing.

Since I can't post in the 2007 forums, I'll post here.

I'm not a member so haven't voted (would have become a member to vote but vets bills are expensive!)

I'd be happy to pay a typical price to play 07, such as £7-£10, which is what people pay for current RuneScape.

What I wouldn't be willing to pay is £7 for current RS, then a $15 charge on top of that to play 2007scape.

I haven't played RS since Eoc came out. I had membership for the first month of it but never logged in, at which point I stopped my subscription. I don't wish to have to pay for both games just to be able to play the only game I want to play.

It goes like this for most things in life to be fair. If someone told me I had to buy Halo just to play CoD, I'd just say no to them both.

The current poll is inconclusive. Sure 120k+ people have already said that they want old rs back. But we have no idea how many of those people are actually willing to pay extra for the game. It will be a sad day when the 2007 servers are released and only a few thousand are playing because it costs more.

If anything, Jagex should offer a DISCOUNT membership that is good for only the 2007 servers and not the main game. Why should people pay more for an older, less technologically advanced game that will not receive updates? I understand that there are some initial costs to setting them up, but in the long-term the 2007 servers will be cheaper for Jagex to run.

The same thing should be done for classic. It costs Jagex next to nothing to run those servers. If they offered a cheaper membership that was only good for Classic and not the main game, I bet they would make a lot more money off of it.

I don't want 2007 RuneScape back and having to start at level 3. I want Pre-EOC, Pre-Micropayments, and those other things before this game turned extremely lame. I would guess that would be around 2010 or so.

All we need is $6 a person to reach 750k votes.

You can either pay $6 now or $15 a month later for 2007 server.

How this works is.

1. Create 3 accounts and refer 3 accounts.

2. Wait 24 hours.

3. Signup for membership on the 3 referral accounts and only pay $2 each.

4. You will then have 6 accounts for $1 each.

5. 6 accounts each x 106k votes = 636k more votes or 736k total + others who have yet to vote.

So buy 6 members accounts right now for $6 or end up paying $15 a month later.
