They still don't deserve a say. You paid once for something you enjoyed. It changed so you stopped paying. Once you stop paying a company they no longer have interest in what individuals who payed long ago have to say.

They're interested in their current members who are willing to pay the fee NOW rather than the opinions of people who payed to play years ago.

I would say throw the idea of keeping rs classics out the window and let those people who have classics capes keep them, it would be like the veteran cape but for classics.

There would be the new staff for 2007 servers right there if you throw out classics servers, it's not like they don't get attention anyways it is old.

They should open up the poll to all accounts that used to be members, or have any past paying history.

The only way 500k would be achievable is if around 250k resubbed just to vote in the poll (I'm guessing Jagex hoped for that to happen). But its a pretty cheap tactic to but the tiers so high, and require it to be members only.

I'm guessing Jagex know all to well that bots won't vote, and already had a pre-determined figure of how many people would take part in the poll.

Then when they release the servers (with a $15/$5 month fee ontop of current membership ROFL), there won't be many people playing on them because no one is willing to pay that much for a service that private servers can give for free. Then Jagex can palm it off as 'a failure' or say 'not enough people were interested'.

It really doesn't cost a thing to host a 2007 runescape server, which I believe is the only thing that can redeem runescape from being the laughing stock of browser games it currently is.

The potential of past members coming back is enough to warrant them having a vote, the fact they were interested enough to vote in the poll should be enough.

"supporting the game in all its states"

This game is terrible atm, 100,000s of people quit since 2007 and there is no way Jagex would be doing this if they didn't think they could entice people back.

Why would I pay $5 just to vote in a poll for something that could potentially happen in the future. I understand it has to be economically viable for them to implement it, but by not allowing ex-members to vote they alienate the actual players who would be playing in the 2007 servers. Therefore the poll isn't an accurate representation of the actual numbers of people that would come back for the 2007 servers.

The point is people don't support the game "in all its states", and that is the very reason they are having a poll.

Hopefully everyone understands that:

If you get membership now, you will have a free first month which is probably going to cost MORE than the price you paid to vote since votes might not reach 500 or 750k.
