Figured I'd throw my two cents in here.
I stopped playing 3-4 years back when I began to disagree with the path I saw things taking. The re-introduction of 07 servers is something that I would actually be interested in at least trying out. Would I pay $8 to give it a shot again? Probably. But even that is on the edge for me (Think I was paying under $5/month when I was playing before).
As I see it, there are two specific mindsets that could hamper this vote [Warning: Generalizations ahead!]:
1. Those who would pay the normal subscription fee, but who would not want to have to pay more. I count myself solidly in this group. As I see it, there's no sense in me or anyone else in this group voting unless we can be fairly certain that the vote will pass the 500k mark. Sure, we would get our first month at the standard rate, but if we aren't willing to pay more than that, then we wouldn't continue into a second month, making the $8 a waste.
2. Those who want to see just what the 07 servers are like before committing. We all look back fondly at those servers now, but in back when they were new they weren't exactly problem-free. I can imagine that there are plenty of ex-subscribers who would be interested in playing a free version for a few days just to get a feel for the features again. Sadly, this entire group is cut out of the poll.
Well, maybe I'll make it three cents instead of two:
I haven't done too much reading about the details of what would be introduced, but I would support a full reset of all characters, skills, and items on the 07 servers. I think it would be a great opportunity to let everyone start off on an even playing field and experience the game in a completely different way (building it from the ground up). And please - don't re-introduce discontinued tradable items. Non-tradables based on account creation date would be fine, since that would serve the real purpose for those items: indicators of dedication to the game.
