WHY TO NOT VOTE FOR 2007 SERVER?
1. NO ECONOMY, EVERYONE WILL HAVE TO GATHER THE RESOURCES THEMSELVES, FOR A BIG PART THE BEST ARMOUR AND WEAPONS WILL BE THE STUFF BOUGHT FROM SHOPS, ADAMANT CHAINBODY, RUNE LONGSWORD, ETC. JUST BECAUSE PEOPLE WILL NOT HAVE THE LEVELS TO MAKE EVEN RUNE ARMOUR.
2. RIDICULOUS VOTE COUNTER JUST TO OPEN THE SERVER WITHOUT EXTRA MEMBERSHIP FEES FROM YOUR CURRENT PAYMENT.
3. NOBODY LIKES 2007. EVERYONE THINKS THEY LIKE 2007 THE MOST, CAUSE IT WAS THE TIME THEY WERE GROWING UP ON RS. NOT TRYING TO HATE, BUT THERE WILL BE ALOT LESS CONTENT AND ALOT OF CONTENT MISSING: OVERLOADS, CURSES, DUNGEONEERING ITEMS, CORRUPT WEAPONRY. DONT GET WRONG, IM RS VETERAN AND HAVE BEEN PLAYING FOR SO LONG (8 YEARS OR SO), IF YOU HAVE TRIED THAT P06RS THING, THAN YOU KNOW ITS NOT EVEN FUN TO GO BACK IN TIME AND HAVE NOTHING.
4. PEOPLE ARE NOT GOING TO PLAY, ITS FUN TO DO IN FIRST COUPLE OF HOURS, BE IN PAST AND JUST DO THE STUFF YOU DID AS A NOOB, BUT THEN IT BECOMES PAIN, EVERYTHING IS EXPENSIVE, LEVELING IS SLOW, NOT MUCH GOOD ITEMS INGAME.
5. WHY TO SUPPORT LATE 2012 PRE EOC SERVER INSTEAD?
BECAUSE THERES BIGGER CHANCE TO KEEP YOUR EARNED SKILLS AND ITEMS, EOC RELEATED ITEMS WOULD BE TRANSFERED FOR AN ALTERNATIVE (OFF-HAND WEAPONS -> DUNGEONEERING TOKENS, ETC. LIKE THEY DID TO RIGOUR AND AUGURY WITH RELEASE OF EOC).

IF YOU ARE STILL READING, THEN FORCE JAGEX TO MAKE A PRE-EOC 2012 SERVER FOR US! HAVE SOME FUN DOING YOUR THINGS LIKE BACK IN THE DAY!

MY SOLUTION: MAKE A LATE 2K12 PRE-EOC SERVER, AND GIVE EVERY PLAYER A OPTION TO TRANSFER THEIR CURRENT ACCOUNT BACK (WILL LOSE PROGRESS IN EOC AND WILL HAVE TO START OVER AGAIN, IF THEY WISH TO STILL PLAY EOC), OR KEEP PLAYING ON EOC AND HAVE SOME FUN.

IM NOT COMPLETELY AGAINST EOC, IM ONE OF THESE PEOPLE THAT JUST PREFER PRE-EOC MORE, IF YOU ARE ONE THESE. SPREAD THESE WORDS TO OTHER PEOPLE, TO LET JAGEX KNOW WE ARE HERE!

wow.. been off runescape for about 2 yrs now...and i just heard the news by another buddy that still plays so decided to check it out and I'm happy to say that this will be pretty interesting and I'm pretty sure it will bring back some great veteran members including me =) Looking forward to it! Lol the time it takes to scroll through one page and 5 more are already made.

Anyway.

You don't want to carry over your stats. The high levels will dominate the entire market if everyone starts from 0gp. They will fish for food then do barrows and quickly amass tons of money so that the lower levels are left out.

No, I think you would *ant everyone to start the same.

Personally, I wouldn't be able to afford the 50,000 nor 250,000 votes increase in membership costs for the extra services. I know there are lots of other players who would also be in my situation.
In the future, would you consider allowing players to buy membership for the EoC game/2007 Servers as separate entities for a reduced or basic price, since that is the way they will be played? I want only one of the two services, I don't want to be forced into buying both or none.
I am in huge support of the 2007 Servers, as I LOVE RuneScape - it's my favourite game - but at the moment can't enjoy it. I have tried the EoC and played for many hours but I don't feel that "buzz" I used to. I'm talking, you could give me a Santa Hat and I still wouldn't have fun.
I would pay £5-7 per month just for the 2007 Servers, I don't want to buy into the EoC. Please, tell me why, although you're almost certain that the poll will reach at least 50,000 votes, you would need to INCREASE the price by £10 per month - when prices were at near-maximum £5 per month back then? Surely, if anything, those services will be cheaper now than they were back then as high-tech things.

Also, just a thought, if you were to reach the 50,000 votes threshold, how many of those players who voted do you estimate would be able to a) afford and, b) be willing to pay the £10 increase in membership fee? My uneducated guess is that at least three times as many people couldn't afford or wouldn't pay it as would pay say, £5 a month. Is that a logical compromise?

I understand that my above points are only really valid if the poll doesn't reach around the 500,000 mark, but let's be brutally honest - if F2P players weren't allowed to vote for the Wildy to come back, it probably wouldn't be here.
I have no complaints about your higher votes requirements, although I do admit they are ambitious.

I so hope we reach 500K votes.

These are my worries/thoughts about your suggested poll.

I wonder what updates had happened to RuneScape in between 2006 and 2007, why they may be supposedly "choosing" '07 over '06, perhaps because of some potential lawsuits to do with 06scape? Because I don't believe their excuse where they say they don't "have it."
Or because something happened in between then that made '07 the ideal choice for Jagex, or what they think is the ideal choice for us? If you can't be a pencil to write anyone's happiness, then try to be a nice eraser to remove someone's sadness.
