Are you guys serious.... Obviously people would want 2007 runescape back; 2006 would be even better. But you guys have lost some people permanently with your awful updates since 2006, because like me we dont even go on this website anymore - I was told by a friend to look at this post.
I was uninterested for a year or two before EOC, but after it there was literally no point to even typing in "runescape" in my browser. I have even seen youtube videos and even friends who have tried the "Runescape private severs" that steal your code, even though you dont use those codes anymore, and these severs make older versions of runescape, they look far more entertaining than your game now.
Another thing, because obviously this will cost money for membership; before i deactivated my account, I was still paying $5 a month, because my membership was continuous from years ago... Your video game is not worth more than that; I'll be the one to tell you.

Some people have argued that they are put off by the "start fresh" concept. Would it be possible to implement a cut off date in which all people who were playing on the 10/08/07 will retrieve their stats and wealth, whilst accounts created after this day will start fresh?

This would also be a great way to introduce rares into the game.

Let the people who had rares keep them! Simple as that. If you're going to make us start over and not let us keep any of our items/cash then I'm not interested in voting yes.

Starting over is not appealing to me, and it's not appealing to many people from what I've read. Figure something else out. Zil

Hey, Jagex. I know I have canceled my membership a few months ago I would still like to give you my opinion on rares. I believe that rare holiday items should still be in the game, I also believe that they should be even MORE epic than they were before! Hear me out, there should be a system put in place (random events/monster drops) where it would make it extremely hard/lucky for a rare to be found randomly by a player! Yes, this may take some time and work but it will give some kind of new thrill to the game that nobody would be expecting! Of course we would need over 750k votes to apply this system because why work on something risky like this when there's not really a substantial amount of demand for the game anyways?

TL;DR - Rares should be a random thing for a player to stumble upon (random spawn drop/elite monster drop/random event). Yes, it is risky. Yes, it is hard to implement, but it would be so worth it to add a kind of new excitement to the game! Also, this should only be looked into after an overwhelming demand for '07 servers because it would be hard to apply something like this*

**;DR TL;DR - make rares a random ocurrence (random drop/spawn/event). But only if the community wants to make this happen and wants to make 07 happen (750k+ votes)
