I think the thing that most people realize is that 2007Scape was good because of 2007Jagex.

Remember there will be NO new content.

I see this being attractive to PKers and that's about it in the long term.

As everyone else is commenting I felt that I have to say something too. I think it is possible, not difficult to remove eoc from the game, and make just let's say 80 servers just to have all the worlds full and everyone have to play 2007 version. I see the negative thing about this then those who enjoy eoc are going to complain, so what to do? - I have no idea, maybe mods will solve this.

Another thing all the rare item will be removed from 2007 server, as we all know the prices is going to be so high in the beginning (as everyone knows what it leads to eventually) - Everything starts from the fresh start with no rare items, nothing extra, just simple game.

Graphics from 2007 update can be improved and quests as well, but nothing new minigames or anything like that would be added to the game. Skillcapes must be added to the game (I don't remember was skillcapes in 2007 or was it added later on that year?)

The important thing is the economy has a new fresh start, and I'm ready to give up from this account, because I simply don't enjoy to see those new things in the game for example "Avatar". I came to play this game to have 14th century feeling where there was vikings, knights Et Cetera.

Me personally, I do not think that the 'Old School' RuneScape should have any rare items. A lot of people didnt like that fact that many people were extremely rich just because they kept their items from an event and they skyrocketed in price, the money was pretty much given to them and they didnt work for it. People today on Runescape work very hard to get there money, yet many still do not have as much as the people that got lucky when their rares that skyrocketed in price. But if you did decide to introduce rares, you should give every player a 'Cracker,' kind of like the christmas cracker. When the player breaks the cracker, they should have a 1-1000+ chance to get a partyhat or some item that would be rare. But to make sure that people dont make 30 accounts and get crackers, you could intorduce rares 5-6 months+ after 2007 version comes back out, and give the 'Cracker' to accounts that are 4+ months old. Just suggestions, you all would know better than I would.

My opinion on rares in the 07 game , it is good that rares would be implicated into the game because one , It is part of Runescape , a game without rares is like saying there is no flavor or icing on the cake. It's just always been part of it. 2nd , It would make money flow around more often and give people a reason to trade more which would make the GP flow around more if people want to decide to reach bank value of a rare.

3rd , on getting them into the game. Just get them into the game like you previously did it before. If you don't want to go trough the troubles of doing that , then I would just make it where everyone can enjoy the items at least. Make them recoverabul like the yo-yo , easter bunny ears , sytche , etc. I don't really care if they're part of the game or not but it would make a big benifit to the community if they where implicated into the game somehow. It would show more of its Runescape oldness.
