Part of me wants rares introduced into the game, the other part doesn't. It's going to come to a point though where a lot of players end up with a huge amount of money and we don't have anything else to blow it on except for hundreds of multiple items worth 1-20m gp.

With that being said I think you should introduce rares at random times so players don't expect these things to happen. Say the first year introduce all the rares you came out with in runescape classic. Any rares that came out in Runescape 2 should not be introduced.
