On the issue of rare/disc. items:

My solution would be to make all of the rare items global drops/ rewards (can come from anything... (SKILLS OR COMBAT) with varying degrees of chance).

These would be an EXTREMELY rare drop/reward (say you cut a tree down and randomly find one, or slay a demon and find one), however the time period they would be dropped in would be limited (lets say a 2 month period).

So after the period has passed, they will be discontinued again.

However the amount of rares that comes from this solution would represent a fair amount of the population. (I do realize not everyone will have them, however this gives everyone a fair chance to grab them, whether you are a skiller or a combat oriented person.)

Are you reading posts? The point is so that people can train without tainted levels or items from messed up updated, a fresh start.

If you would rather keep your items/skills, stay with 2013. Please do not try to drag what could be one of the greatest things ever down in the mud because you can not be bothered to put in some effort.

Since nobody wants to start everything again, we could use the same account as we use in the EoC RuneScape, but if your in a place in EoC RuneScape which is not in 2007 RS you could be teleported to Lumbridge with a message, you could keep all your items, but the items from EoC RS not released in 2007 RS could be deleted from every player ONLY in that game. Example: Player logs in, game screen says to wait while your bot searches if you have any non-released items and delete them everytime you login. You would have the items again when you login in the EoC RS. Like that, nobody would need to start from level 3!

Discontinued items should definitely be introduced into the game one way or another. It just simply wouldn't be 2007 Runescape without them. They are required because they put a 'goal mentality' in every persons' head who desires great wealth in the game. Without them, there wouldn't be a way to show extreme richness in the game. They are just simply necessary to bring back the nostalgia of 2007.

As much as I want to see 500k/750k votes because that would be ideal.. I dont want to see some of us ruin our own game with the chance of updates.. A few things I think I could live with, eventually puttng GWD in would be one of them, but thats really it. If you Jagex said one day "We will be implementing X into the game, have a week to vote on it" and to some people it seemed exciting and they voted yes but it turned out terrible and didnt work.. we would just be repeating history. so there should maybe be a couple updates.. GWD would be ok later on and BH (assuming we can still pk in Edge) id welcome. or NO updates at all.
