You really don't get it do ya MMG?
You spend months.. YEARS, even.. running off the old timers who played this game (and paid wages for jagex staff), long before you ever entered the picture!
You changed the RuneScape that they all knew and loved, into something so massively different that they didn't have the heart to watch the game bleed any more!
You ensured they were upset, and heartbroken enough, to walk away.. and then hold a sham of a vote to allow any "current" member to vote for something that thousands of people had already asked for (and you shot them down!). You don't even have the courage to email all those you ran off.. before holding a vote!
That 8 bucks to vote, is chump change to you or me.. it's peanuts son, but not necessarily to all the kids that play this game!
YOU, are single-handedly responsible for the level of cynicism that is only growing.
If you're so "confident" that that upper level can't be reached (and your original post makes it pretty clear that you are).. then "up the stakes"..
Cynicism.. or not.. I believe you should put your job on the line for this.. you want everyone else to put money on the line to even vote.. so put your job on the line..
If it hits top tier.. you step down (and let somebody with a true love of the game take the reigns)..
750K votes, should show you and IVP that the player base has an interest in what's best for the game..
Now you have a rigged vote (people won't even know it exists), and want we should pay $15 a month for a game you've already abandoned..
Put your job on the line and you'll find the true heart of this game, and its player base!
