@trlste

first i am voting a yes on the 07 sever...

but i wont be playing it...i dont like other players and the no ge thing stops it for me...

second i am not spamming the thread... if i am so is the 1000's of others who have posted..

i am pointing out the stupidity because people dont understand the concept of fresh start.... yo people you start with NOTHING.... NO RARE's....NOTHING that will give you a advantage over another player....

your opinion is flawed... people have worked unimaginably hard for their rares.

and more people would go to 2007 server if they could bring their hats.
____

I shall agree with you if the people who go to diango to copy over their rares will get them, but they will be untradeable and just cosmetic.

Tradable discontinueds just does not seem beneficial to me. ;;

Will the extra cost be a regular payment? Or a one-off payment?
(Have you considered a 'Donate to Game' fund / option?

The vote Needs to be open to F2P players. Maybe impose a 'time in-game' requirement instead?
Will Stats / bank be reset or restored to that point in time?
Will current stats be imported as they currently are?

I have been a paying member for a long time, and was present for all those hours grinding. I don't think it's fair to have to start completely from scratch.
Especially when it's an update that has pretty much driven us away.

I would be willing to fully get behind the idea.
There's just not enough information, or faith at present.
What are we agreeing to?
What aren't you telling us?
Why should I have to pay for membership to vote, when I don't know exactly what you are offering?
As I see it...
Asking for money from those you have driven out, is a bit cheeky and half-hearted.
Apologies for being rude.

I would love to see Runescape restored to an enjoyable state.
I am more than willing to subscribe.
Current regular game budget extends to £10 per month.
That's not saying I think that's a fair rate!
I would be willing to contribute more as and when finances permit.
(But with so many after my money...)

I appreciate this all needs to be realistic.
What can actually be done.
I for one do appreciate the current move.
I just don't see why we (a lot of us LONG-TERM players) should have to foot the bill for side stepping what is so strongly disliked?
I don't mind helping if I'm able, once I see what exactly is being offer by mean of compromise.

I would vote, but I will not be buying membership to do so.
All the best.
I'll be around.

Oh btw...
Your active players statistics...
Do they include players who sit in the lobby as active?
Just curious.

That was a horrible statement and relation towards the future population of the 2007 server. Why? Well, let's see.

RSC considerably lacked content. 3 years of development happened after RSC was closed for RS2. It's also important to mention that Jagex made more frequent updates throughout RS2, opposed to RSC. Overall, this means that you cannot say that the population will decrease to RSC's population over time because the content within both servers are completely different.

There are plenty of people like me who have played "317 servers" since late 2007-early 2008. I know this because I'm still in contact with a lot of the people who played with me, and they're still constantly enjoying these "old servers".

Players like you have to understand that not every person that supports 2007 servers want to play it for nostalgia. I've already had the nostalgic experience - I just extremely enjoy the game play that "old servers" provided. Thanks to this potential update, I'll be rejoining RuneScape again.

I think that's one of the worst understatements I've seen today. I shouldn't have replied to such ignorance, but I got time.
Player since 2006

So your going to punish veteran players such such as myself and make them pay more to play the game they signed up for?

Not voting is selfish and terrible behaviour in my opinion as you are stating you wouldn't do something for thousands of people who don't do what you described. Especially, when it won't effect you or cost you anything?

----

its not selfish as the vote is a choice on the person who owns the account, if the community as a whole wants it then it doesn't matter but you shouldn't call a person selfish because they wont vote for something they wont be intrested in.

My vote will be spoilt due to the fact going back to '07 scape will ruin the goodtimes i had back then, therefor i'll not vote to stop temptation + current game is far better all that needs to happen is some money sink holes added.

"Several people have asked about rare/discontinued items on a 2007 server. We've not got any set plans for this yet, so why not let us know how you think we should introduce rare items, if at all?
Reply"

Through holiday events like they originally were this would be fair and be easy for Christmas and other holiday events to know what to give out. Also, it would be awesome.
:D

There will be a godwars geuss thats released in August, because it's a full backup off August.

And NO there won't be a Grand Exchange because it was released in 2007 November.
Most player's quited because of the Grand Exchange probably that's the reason they chose the month August.

I personally think that non members should be able to vote too. We non members also miss the old runescape and yet we don't get a chance to fight for what we want to achieve and let members vote only. We should also be able to play on the old runescape too as a lot of us are not suited with the eoc like myself eventhough i feel that the eoc is not that bad of an update. It should not only be members who get these kind of things. Non members should also get the oppurtunity to fight for what they *ant and make a stand for themselves. I want jagex to think about this and how it will affect the non members trust and attitude towards them...
