"Consider this, the more members that vote the cheaper it would ultimately be for everyone and hopefully reach the point where it doesn’t cost you a penny more and could simply be offered as part of your existing membership - Even if you don't intend to use it I think that's a nice thing to do for your friends. "

Even if any friends of mine would want me to vote, I am against the idea of opening these servers, so I would be less willing to pay for the current GOOD game knowing part of developpement time etc will go to these 2007 servers.

So if you take away some of 'our' developpement time, you might as well take away some of the price for membership on the live game, it would only be fair. This and only this would get me to vote just for friends, if not it's a big NO from me, so please clear it up.

Count me in full support of this and I'll renew my membership as my vote, I'm glad you guys finally responded to the community of veterans, old school players, and the 2nd generation of players who liked the older game. I'm also glad that it would be a separate system for those who are used to EOC, and like the progression of the game even though I personally dislike the EOC. This has renewed some of my lost respect for the company, and as for this I hope you guys solve the bot problem in the main game as well.

Thank you for listening to the vets Jagex.

@Louielle:
For the record, even before EOC update -- the wildy was already devoid of pkers.

The "excitement" of the return of the wildy after the vote died within the first 6-months of its introduction. So you guys cannot use EOC release as the alibi.

The very same people that threw their tantrums to restore the wildy, were the very same people that abandoned the wildy after its restoration...........

"History repeats itself!"

------------------------------------------------

Because after the first 6 months of its restoration **** updates were introduced.

Here's something though: History can't repeat its self if your rolling back to the same year, RIGHT BEFORE Jagex destroyed the game.

To Louiellen:

Comparing why people don't PvP in the game as it exists today to people wanting an older version of the game is apples and oranges. There has been so much added to the game that made PvP impossible to enjoy.

You know why League of Legends is so popular? Because everyone starts each game at the same level, and has choices. You are not constantly facing an impossible matchup.

That has been missing from Runescape for many, many years. Jagex has gone down the road of thinking that they need to make everything easier so people can participate, but RS was best when you didn't have to max to participate in a meaningful way. Slower is much more effective than easier.

Personally, I think this August 2007 version of the game has way too much of what ruined RS (Pest Control comes to mind and skill capes come to mind). Nonetheless, this will still provide a fairly decent game experience.

I hope Jagex will consider the possibility of un-updating in the interest of creating a game environment that is playable without requiring too much grind or no-lifing. I would also like to see experience limits, if they insist upon updating.

But blaming the players for not participating in a game that Jagex changed in such a way that made it impossible for them to participate isn't going to help restore the game.

heres how i would do the whole rare thing.... make rares set at a certain price in a store lets say 1b-2.4b (max cash) this would allow the rare to still be expensive and still be rare at the same time because it will take awhile to reach that max cash. the suggestion for realesing only a small amount this kinda defeats the purpose of makeing the game fair and every1 at the same level at the start. plus you dont want rares to become extinxt from people quitting or alching them ect.

Getting membership back just so I can vote to have this server for 2007, 2007 runescape imo is so much better than the current runescape with SoF and the dead content like wildy/mini-games.

All the people who still play in EOC and are complaining this will hurt the game further are wrong it's just going to help jagex by bringing a lot of players back to runescape and money.
