Want to know why 2006/07 is the best?

Go to Google and type /trends on the URL or just type into Google "Google Trends".

Then type in Runescape.

It shows a graph about Runescape's popularity over the last 9 years.

2006 December is the peak of popularity. All the time before that leads up to the peak. And the time after leads to where we are now; a much less popular game (shown true by the graph and number of players online).

2006 is 7 years ago

It's safe to say a server that runs any of the Runescape worlds these days could run 10+ 2006 servers, assuming JaGeX have been updating their servers! So that means if we knock out a couple of those quick chat worlds filled with bots we could make 20+ 2006 servers at the cost of only 2 of the current servers. Pretty money efficient.

2006 should be back!

if you can listen to this thread please do.

i have been playing this game for like over 6 years and i loved the old graphics, many people that has started back in 2006,07,08 dont like this generation of rs alot and they want the old servers back.

so here is a suggestion keep Eoc servers and then just give us back the old ones it will give runescape a huge economy players will enjoy both sides of combat and everyone is happy.

i love runescape so much and so does everyone else please read this!!!!!!! and do you best

i bet if they did adequate updates . persay like put revs back in wild were they belong, put a new gods dung in rev current dung with new armors and weapon, bring randoms back, for every skill like river trolls for fishing golems for mining, thief for thiving kill them for nice xp. flush eoc and beta. just these few thing attendence would rise. only part of eoc i like is duel wielding weapons.

"ohh ohh i got a good one, at least merchers wont make so much money they used to. why the prices have crashed they are worth crap." 6 months ago my nephew had a 300 mil net worth now he has a 100 mil net worth and he has not played at all, no skilling or any thing.wow thanks for the $ loss. crappy updates, crashed market( sof, solomons = gambling and scamming)eoc sucks but i wont say what, only thing good about it is duel wielding weaponss. and no randoms. i was a major skiller i had almost 250 mil net worth and *ow about 120 mil net worth do to price crash of eoc and bots.

I would like to say that you don't need a huge budget to have a great game that millions of people will enjoy. Around 07, the player base was the highest ever (I believe). Ever since it has been declining since a lot of the "players" are bots.

MMG is full of crap, he doesn't care about us, Jagex doesn't care about us players, no one at Jagex does. The only mod I trust at this point is Mod Chris L. Mod Mark/MMG need to be fired from their positions and have more well informed mods and more qualified mods to assume their positions. Jagex im 18 and I could easily assume mod MMG's position, all he does is wave his magical hammer and introduce more bull crap updates and more SoF/SGS crap. Jagex make 2013 my year, get rid of SoF and you will have my vote for the golden joystick awards. If not, you will never see the light of day ever again.

When I first read this post I had high hopes you guys were going to change. However you guys still ended up with broken promises by promoting the ridiculous wheel and general store even more than ever. Now I only play this game for the interaction with my friends whether it be PvMing, clan events, etc. If they quit because you guys lack the promises you kept, then count me out too.
