I read that at 500,000 it will be available for free. I think that if you can afford to give it for free, then instead cut the cost to $3.00 and don't open it up to free membership. That is when things get annoying. Just saying.

Seriously i am a little confused, help me out here.

Runescape was a uniqe game, something i enjoyed to play untill EOC came into game. Yes i would like the old game back.

I have been playing Rs for many years now, spent all my time, nights and days paid memberships for years, even paid ahead for another year and this is what you give us?

A new chance of Old School Runescape from 2007 where you have to start all over with a new character??

2007 was a good year i agree, but i did have some nice stats even back then and now i have to start all over with a new character to play to avoid the EOC.

Does that make any sence?? i mean im confused and very dissapointed, i am not gonna spent another 8 years again to try to build up my charater one more time to get to where i am now, for me all this is like one big joke to me.

Seriously how about you look in the forum and actually start to care about older players who been dedicated to the game for so many years, and make a for example a paralel world without EOC where items was like they used to be, with normal combat, normal drops, normal prayers/curses...

you really discourage me to continue to play when you come up with something like this, that totally killed my motivation. .... and im member for over a year ahead..

Just asking why.. Dont tell me its all about money and resources.

@ Noah. Yes I know what you mean about starting from scratch. It's probably not for everyone. I wonder.... Do they have our accounts from 2007 saved in that back up of theirs??? Could they bring our characters back as they were in 2007?

The 10 -20k bots have not logged back in since the recent update, but im very glad we are spending all the time and resources on this instead of actually working on the current problems...a bit sarcastic :D , and p.s. nice taking down the thread in recent updates that stated purpose of update a few minutes ago, don't want those long term members to be able to say what they think about this :D
