I honestly like the EOC servers. I still do. I never wanted to go back to the old servers. Perhaps for nostalgia's sake yes, otherwise no.
I do, however, have a problem with the EOC that I think should be addressed now that the 07 servers are out. My problem is as such: Since there are so many people on the 07 servers, there is not enough people playing on the EOC servers. I wanted to do some pvm today, couldn't. Why? Everybody is at the old servers.
It was nice having a lot of people to pvm with before the 07 servers came back, however, I feel that this has definitively divided the community in two. Having less people on the EOC servers is going to continue having an affect against a strong community. This I fear will discourage players from playing the EOC version, leaving EOC in a pool of dead content.
I am very pessimistic at the moment. I am sure all of the enthusiasm for the 07 servers will wear off eventually, but at what cost to those who don't actually care about the 07 servers?
