Im not buying any spins that you can have for granted. never bought never will buy. but will cost me alot to see rich friends get rich in runescape because of there real life wealth.
Fed up of the gameplay depending on how wealthy you are irl.

1.) Add a Squeal of Neptune thread to recent updates. The amount of threads on the subject is getting out of hand.
2.) Adding in a tradeable rare is a bad idea. All you are doing is giving merchants more opportunity to squeeze money out of the game.
3.) Add in a cash shop for certain items. Cosmetic items that do not affect the game should be in a cash shop and shouldn't be tradeable. Instead of gambling spins (and often paying more money to get a costume set) charging a flat fee for items or sets of items in a cash shop is more fair and could be more popular. I will NOT pay for spins, because there is no guarantee i will get what I want. I personally will never gamble, therefore I will never buy spins.
4.) The SOF is getting out of hand like the return of the wilderness and release of dungeoneering, you are constantly adding content revolving around they and constantly advertising it. Lay off of it, the focus should be the combat rework coming up soon. I am getting bored and tired of seeing something new about the SOF every week.

Jagex...
You can't view FREE spins as a way to judge the popularity of PAID spins. Hell, you can't even use them as a way to judge the popularity of Squeal of Fortune at all when it's shoved down our throats, with the only way to get rid of the annoying pop-ups and ad's for it to use them. You're looking for data in an area where it's heavily skewed towards you because of how you've implemented it.
Now, onto the problem at hand.
In the past, tradable rare's have led to huge amounts of complaints and disgruntled players who didn't manage to get one.
As quoted from a newspost from 22 Dec, 2003:
"This is just a quick note to say that there aren't going to be any RuneScape items dropped at christmas. I really don't like having to say this, but I can't see any sensible alternative.
This is because the last few drops actually caused a lot of upset, and resulted in a *huge* number of complaints from players who didn't manage to get an item (or didn't get as many as their mates). Many players seemed to get really upset about the drop which is of course the exact opposite of the intended effect."
On top of that, rare items (that have been discontinued) have created false economic holes. In a normal economy, no one would pay more for a paper hat then they would, say, a Diamond. But in RS's economy, they would pay more... Much more. Why? Because the paper hat has been discontinued.
Please, before it's too late, remove the SoF, or at the very least, stop shoving it down our throats and stop updating it every other update.
