I can't understand what people are complaining about, I love the wheel and it is a extra reward when doing some of the less fun quests.
There are many players with a lot of money, they need things to spend it on. Also if you're one of those with patience maybe you could earn some gold to train your skills with. :)

Because by arguing over something as stupid as a few pixels and in a game on the Internet, not only are you showing you have no life and depend to much on runescap", you are arguing over the fact just as soon as u posted that statement. pratice what you preach before you get all hot headed.as for your comment:"People like you have to much time on your hands, I don't no why you care about a fake economy and fake life" obviously u care about it to =). people these days are realy hypocritical. its funny what the mind puts into play when its filled with rage.

This thread is pretty funny. It's not often that I see a stickied Flame War.
I am really disappointed in Jagex though. They said that when they released the rares, it was never their intention for items to be so expensive and meant only for the wealthy. They also said that they would be releasing no discontinue'd items.
Jagex obviously isn't the most trustworthy of game companies.

The irony is that the fish masks probably won't ever be worth more than 3m for at least 10 years or more. When rares first came out (I'm thinking of p hats and h'ween masks) they were released within a short, 24 hour period. On top of that, no one knew how expensive rares became so lots of people alched/dropped/traded/lost the original rares. Now, with these fish masks, everyone knows about how expensive rares can become so people will try to get as many fish mask as possible. The fish masks are also being released over a 1 week period (arguably the whole summer although they'll be A LOT rarer after this week). The amount of fish masks traded (looking at the GE charts) is humongous meaning a lot of fish masks have come into the game already. So calling fish masks a "rare" won't be accurate until the number of fish masks in the game is small again.

yes its gonna take a looooooooooong time for them to be worth enything, that is why im woundering what the hostility over this update is about. and as of the flame war, i love to irritate people thats starting flaming (got to stoke the fire for intertainment) even if it means to get heated with them to keep it going. i just love the exscuses people give for the rants make's it THAT much more intresting to read, and to mimic back (twisted in your own way) and as threw out this bord im STILL to this day saying (i hope this update pull's threw as planed) so i can see irrate people for the nexed 3-6 mounths about it. when it shouldent mean a dang thing. have fun with it collect on it if you want to have a wealthy future. but as you said arsid earlyer, dont exspect them to be worth much in the neer future. and me personaly i collected on them because i can quit for a nother cupple years to make shure my plans on here pull threw. all about patience

discontinued items was such a big hit in the past, it gave so much more activity, btw if u can link the thread or forum, exc. from where u seen that said plz do because ive been hearing so much about them saying"they will never make a discontinued item agian" in here and i would love to see where it says that one =). thanks

i think a new rare is all good. its ok for the old players to complain about this new rare. however its almost impossible for the new players to get one of the old ones such a party hat. i mean in 10 years the new players will be proud that they got a fish mask!
so these people talking about jagex only care about short term profit, just think about the players thinking long term profit!!

im a old player and im saying let the fish mask idea go on as planed. people just dont relize that this item is for the people who play the game for them. people just need to quit looking into all the bad and start looking at the good. its not all bad.....finaly someone that gets the hole conflict (clap's) silveRQ lvl is going somewhere in this game =)
