I'd be happy just with some numbers. Back during the 2011 botnuke during RuneFest (when we still had them) they nuked 7,700,000 bots.

I'd imagine that the current nuke was nowhere near a thousandth of that.

Until Jagex start supplying quantifiable data, their bot busting will always be perceived as a publicity stunt ("Oooh - look at us, we actually managed to ban a bot. That'll keep them happy for another 24 months" ).

Thank you for only banning the ones your system proves are actually botting/cheating, and not listening to everyone's specific ban requests. Honestly I watched someone in my house get banned for botting in 2007 and it was due to anti-social behavior and false reports. Eventually got the account back but it was hella scary.

Whatever the new methods that came later for actually detecting, I feel a lot safer nowadays that I'm not going to be wrongfully banned. As you continue to fight the problem, whatever ppl think you're doing or *** doing, I am always mindful of this.
I hate bots, but I didn't spend years working on my account to lose it over any random or patterned period of no-lifing.

Imagine in a perfect runescape game...

Jagex took the time and better effort and not rush out material and really test it, then we wouldnt have so many glitches for people to take advantage of and rage with.
Then they wouldnt have to ban people from being so tempted on using glitches to get ahead then reward themselves (themselves=Jagex) for taking them out.

Jagex, why are you perma-banning bug abusers? That seems kind of unreasonable to me. I have never abused a bug before but don't you think you should punish them in the same way you do botters? I just dont think anyone should be perma-banned the first time they take advantage of your ***** up. Maybe just the 3rd time - like botters.

Why cant u say ***** on forums?
