Changes always seem to bring out the worst in people. Unfortunate but can't be helped. If they catered to everyone, there would be no point.

I enjoy the new system though it can become a bit tedious to slam away on the attacks and certain skills are very over powered. Though, that being said, the new system feels (to myself) very optional. You can get from starting level to end game without using it (tested by myself and a friend) but that just depends on how much you want out of combat, like any skill. Do you want to idly sit there and click every so often to get a new opponent or eat? Or do you want to become more involved and time your skilled attacks?

What runescape boils down to is how you interact with the game as a whole. What you as a player does or does not. I feel many people simply ignore or belittle the fact that while something is new, you choose whether you do it or not. While a large update such as this does affect the game in both positive and negative, you the player can choose whether to engage or disengage from that aspect or use*

**;DR: You decide what you do in this game at the end of the day. Not the system or update or anything else but you. Participation isn't mandatory.

Fk you seriously, bribing famous youtubers by paining them $1000 for EoC video? It's WH0R3 move.
Liked 90% of bonesaw's vids, this deserves first dislike.

WE WANT FKN ANDREW GOWER BACK!

My friend use to play RS. He didn't like the combat system because it was kind of boring, but what made him quit was the player community.

There are tons of scammers, bug abusers, and you literally have to turn public chat off because 90% of the conversation on RS is severely immature and disgustin.

There are not that many players that dislike EoC (there are a lot of threads but by a few people). Those who dislike EoC [with a few exceptions ofcourse] cannot give a reason why they dislike it. And the ones who do say why they dislike it betray themselves because it turns out what they don't like about it is either not true or has been patched and they just haven't tried it since the patch.

The few players then that actually have a legitimate arguement (that is to say they dislike it for some reason other than the fact that they're afraid of change) would throw away the many good things about EoC because of the one thing they found wrong with it.

I'm looking forward to:
-hotkeys so I don't have to click all over the place to switch prayers and style and eat food (which btw is optional so if you really hate hotkeys then just don't use it).
-New weapons and armour that fill in the gap of equipment that has been needing filling for way too long
-Being able to use my sgs to train and not being afraid to use it just because it's slower. It's a more expensive weapon and has more requirements, it shouldn't be outclassed by whip while training.
-Being rewarded more xp for training on tougher monsters rather having to camp out on monsters half my level to make a decent xp gain
-Being able to make tactical decisions in combat that can give me the upper hand when I need it (this too is also optional as you can just use momentum, which I don't know why everyone is complaining about needing to click a button to use it. How lazy can you possibly be?)

I think because there are so many advantages and few can make a legit disadvantage that jagex is moving on with it anyway.

I do wish those that hate the eoc will stop acting like they speak for everyone. Theres plenty of legimate critism and unquestionably things that have to be worked on and tweaked.
But some people like myself think theres hugely more potential in the new system - its perfectly fine not to think that but stop claiming its all runescape players or all veterans or all whatever hate it. Even saying "most" is wrong as you have no way to know that.

Original message details are unavailable.
People haven’t taken advantage of it because they probably felt they shouldn’t have to
actually play BETA to make assessments over whether they like it or not.

umm yes. Yes they do.
To have a opinion on something you need to experience it else your just mindlessly copying the views of others.
With comments like this it doesn't surprise me that they ignore so much of the forums. Real critical breakdowns are drowned out by people just naming calling or regurgitation others views.

And for those who make violent, obscene, or offensive and hurtful attacks at Jagex, you're the reason why lots of my friends don't like the game. The game community use to be friendly and playful but it's as though the game has become overrunned by 13 year old angry kids who have no regards for the feelings of anyone else but themselves. Not only is it in the forums but it's in the game too. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but NOONE should be offending specific developers and staff that make the game you claim to love so much. It's like biting the hand that feeds you. They're providing a service, sometimes they mess up, sometimes you just don't agree, but they're making decisions that aren't easy despite what you might think. If you don't like what they're doing, then simply say so or stop your membership. Noone deserves to be talked about that way, irl or on the internet, and it's alarming that so many players have the kind of personality to openly do something like that.

Lesson in life; Have some respect or you will find later in life that this game won't be the only thing that disappoints you.

And ofcourse if you are being respectful with your criticism I'm not talking about you.

@Max Hybrid (page 7)

First of all, I'm part of the older generation of players and trust me, you don't speak for me. Secondly, to suggest that Jagex is guilty of copyright infringement is ridiculous. Yeah big deal, there is an action bar and abilities now. In my opinion it makes things much easier, you no longer have to cycle through tabs to access what you need as you can customize the bar to have what you need for a given task. How else would they accomplish this? Let me remind you also that combat is only one aspect of the game**** still has its own lore, its own unique world and characters, and its own community (which as Rythim Man pointed out sadly could be better).

Also I wanted to thank bonesaw for the video. I personally did not learn anything new from it but it served as a good refresher.

Edit: Also, 2nd the post above me ^. Well said.
