"People haven’t taken advantage of it because they probably felt they shouldn’t have to actually play BETA to make assessments over whether they like it or not."
- The Beta was there for bug/combat/equipment feedback, amongst other things. The Combat Academy was introduced as a "Get a feel for the new system, so come the 20th, your not totally lost."
"Many people who’ve made their choices have done so by either playing it or watching videos of people playing it and making their choices from there."
- Yeah, so if you've never tasted a strawberry in your life, but watched people on YouTube rave about them, you would think they are good, but when you finally taste one, you find out you can't stand the flavor.
"The Combat Academy vote did*’t allow fair opportunity for many people to make those choices as it offers fewer choices towards those that dislike the EoC and turns most of them into favor towards it."
- So, a single choice for dislike, and several of varying wants. Don't like it? Choose dislike on all questions.
"Pretty sure most people didn't even know about the vote."
- Just had to read the Combat Academy release post to find out about the survey.
"People who are already maxed combat such as yourself had no real reason to do the CA anyways unless you were/are going for max xp, and even then may prefer regular training over this."
- TBH, I've logged a TON of hours on the beta and didn't really need to "learn" the system, as i'm quite adept at it already. I was testing the Combat Academy in order find and report bugs, like I did with every beta update. Also, the XP book is good for any skill, so I fail to see how my being max combat makes a difference.
