You're trying to prove me wrong but your words betray you, just as I've said before. You say 99 constitution means nothing but in fact they've patched that so that players with 99 constitution have way more hp than someone with only 10. I can fight without armour because I have nearly 4k hp on this character without armour. --example of when i said players haven't tried beta since patches--

You say when you use multitarget abilities then all the monsters attack you. You say this could be detrimental when fighting mithril dragons. Well this is a prime example of how eoc requires you to use skill and tactics. Someone with average intelligence would not use multitarget attacks when surrounded by mithril dragons, so that wouldn't be an issue. In fact they would have a antidragonfire shield and thus not even be able to use multitargeted attack. If you're saying EoC makes i impossible to pull stupid stunts without getting killed, you can't do that in live either. --example of a player just not getting the purpose of the update--

You say that staffs are two handed and now shields and books are useless. This simply shows your lack of experience with the EoC and the fact that you haven't read any of the patches, announcements, or explanations. Yes you can't use the staff of light with a book or orb, but it's power is increased now since it is 2h weapon. However if you simply have to have a 1handed magic weapon you can use wands, several of which have been added to the game. Now you can wield a shield or use an orb to increase your casting speed so that dps ammounts up to roughly the same as 2h staff. So not only can you still wield a shield but you have more options available to you. The only problem with this is that it's different, so some players may need to switch to wands if they prefer 1handed weapons. But you still have the option to play old style. --example of an argument that is you just don't like change--

Players seem to be worried that Jagex is overly greedy for money. You'd have to be short-sighted not to realize that some of the coding, hardware, software, staff, and time, not to mention management and service to run RuneScape costs money. I personally don't like SoF (and actually find nothing wrong with Solomon's store because everything is cosmetic except for that lightning staff) but I have to admit that these services are the best way to increase profit without forcing increasing prices from every player. If these things were removed they would have to put off all the updates they want for another 2 or 3 years or increase the membership rate. I personally think SoF is the lesser of two evils in this case.

So yea, Jagex really wants money because without it they can't expand the game or feed themselves. We play the game and work for a living (or our parents work for a living), however for the Jagex employees this game is their work so it's only rational that they should get paid for it.

And as for famous players making videos and getting paid for it, an overwhelmingly large number of players seem to have forgotten that their is a competition out for making the best video (and obviously experienced and famous RS video makers would make the list) so that is most likely where these videos are coming from. Actually I would make a video too to win if it weren't for the fact that I am horrible at making movies.

You guys are ruining the community by insulting jagex and your fellow players simply because you are stubborn towards change. It's ridiculously selfish in my opinion, and as I've said before, a main reason why many of my friends cannot play this game.

""...people would just vote "no" without even trying the new system."

And? If the End of Combat was as great as so claimed the yes would trump the no's. "

- Because voting no on something you've never tried makes sense..

"We have a glitchy failed tutorial that a good number of my friends COULDN'T complete because it was so buggy. Then the survey itself was so buggy that a few of my friends just didn't bother completing it (like the one that nearly had a seizure) because it ended up being more trouble than it was worth."

- I completed it with only one issue, using the ability on the action bar. Know what I did to fix it? I exited the tut, and started back where I left off, finished with no other issues. Perhaps if patience and a clear mind was present, you would of done the same.

"Now if they had a survey where they asked people "Do you like the evolution of combat yes or no" THEN that would be truly brilliant. But failgex struck again with buggy content and didn't bother making an advanced tutorial for those who are high level combat."

- The Combat Academy was intended as an INTRODUCTION to the abilities. Which I think served it's purpose. As for the yes or no survey, things in this world aren't just black and white, off or on, 0 or 1. Perhaps in the future, you will see this kind of survey in real life, something along the lines of "How did you like this movie on scale from 1 to 5, with 5 being the best."

"People haven’t taken advantage of it because they probably felt they shouldn’t have to actually play BETA to make assessments over whether they like it or not."

- The Beta was there for bug/combat/equipment feedback, amongst other things. The Combat Academy was introduced as a "Get a feel for the new system, so come the 20th, your not totally lost."

"Many people who’ve made their choices have done so by either playing it or watching videos of people playing it and making their choices from there."

- Yeah, so if you've never tasted a strawberry in your life, but watched people on YouTube rave about them, you would think they are good, but when you finally taste one, you find out you can't stand the flavor.

"The Combat Academy vote did*’t allow fair opportunity for many people to make those choices as it offers fewer choices towards those that dislike the EoC and turns most of them into favor towards it."
- So, a single choice for dislike, and several of varying wants. Don't like it? Choose dislike on all questions.

"Pretty sure most people didn't even know about the vote."
- Just had to read the Combat Academy release post to find out about the survey.

"People who are already maxed combat such as yourself had no real reason to do the CA anyways unless you were/are going for max xp, and even then may prefer regular training over this."

- TBH, I've logged a TON of hours on the beta and didn't really need to "learn" the system, as i'm quite adept at it already. I was testing the Combat Academy in order find and report bugs, like I did with every beta update. Also, the XP book is good for any skill, so I fail to see how my being max combat makes a difference.

dear jagex i have been playing this site for a very long time.. i have enjoyed my experience but as the days go on.. you took out many things that were enjoyable.. this what you are doing is not like taking out the wildy.. or free trade.. this is taking away the whole game.. this is entirly new you do not listen to your older players. you are losing more players with the graphic updates but this.. is entirly a new game. i hope you will get the point in time. that alot of people don't want this update to happen rather then caring more about the money and fame in the mmorpgs... well it has been a great fight to get jagex to listen to us ladys and gents.. we can't do anymore except to go to new games. start 12/20/99 end 11/20/12 its been a good fun time jagex but this has pushed it over for many players. this could have helped.. but it is too late. make a ENTIRE different server to eoc.. rather then ruining rs more.

I'd like to be able to customise each ability bar with a name so that I can easily remember the function I created it for.

e.g. Dragon setup - 'Drags'

Is there a way of hotkeying to switch quickly between say ability bar no 1 and ability bar no 5?

Prayer needs a guide< Even after watching/reading everything I'm confused about what's changing in that - a written guide!<
