Personally i am hoping the EOC is cancelled, but purely for selfish reasons.
I am a pure,1 defence, and this is throwing away a lot of my effort.
On the other hand i do believe we needed a massive re-balance, and a overhaul of level requirements, and the combat is a lot more fun!

Also, anyone who didn't try the beta has missed out on the poll. I know that Jagex aren't releasing the information in the best way, but you had your chance to give feedback and missed it. The beta was started almost 6 months a go now.

If you do dislike the update so much, cancel your membership, state why, and don'r login after the update until you get what you want.
Personally, i will keep playing, i won't cry, i won't moan, i will give it a go and adapt.

I've played for a long time now, solidly until 2006, then i have kept coming back for a few months a t a time. This latest time i've started fresh and do not plan to go back to my old accounts.

Honestly Jagex your doing stuff to get people now, and all you care about is money. You don't even care about what your fans who have played for years think. So when you lose all these people maybe then you will realize you messed up. Why not just make EOC servers? Ever thought of that? Instead of ruining the game for real hardcore players who have played for years. Just think it through, it's obvious we don't want this. Just like taking away the wild and trade limits, what happened? Apparently you don't learn from mistakes.

Runescape is so melee based in its current gameplay, the the EoC actually ruins the 20% of people who enjoy using range. Over half the game is melee and so over half the game in the EoC is weak to mage, and minorly resistant to its own combat, and strong to range. So rangers have an increasingly difficult time, especially at the lower levels, just because EVERYTHING is weak to magic.

This is too all the people with the closed in minds who are calling the video makers sell outs. What are the vid makers suppose to do quit a game they love and dissapoint their fans because some of the viewers cant handle change on a game? no wether u guys want to or not its coming out so they are embracing it and u would all be liars if u say u woulnt accept money to make a guide for game u enjoy , plus if u hate the eoc just leave and stop watching rs vids the vid makers dont deserve this

I am personally looking forward to the EoC. The rebalance of the combat was sorely needed in my opinion and redoing the RS monsters is something that was needed as well. It got quite tiresome bringing a inventory of prayer potions to zammy mages or sole* using my trusty chaotic rapier to kill thousands of creatures for slayer tasks. One thing that is evident to me is that the community on RS can be creatures of habit, going to the forums to rant about an update just as it's released or in this case before its even released! A lot of feedback has gone into making the EoC much better and Jagex have listened. Got something you dislike about the update? Then tell them and odds are if you are among others who feel the same, Jagex will address it.
